Advantages: they do not swell up in the water but they do hold in everything that shouldnt escape

Disadvantages: slightly overpriced

I decided to start my son off early with swimming as we had a holiday booked for when he was 5 months old during the month of August. I knew i would have to get him used to the water as it was going to be absolutely boiling when we went away. So i started him swimming at six weeks old. At first i decided against using Huggies Little Swimmers as i thought i could save myself some money by buying a Kooshies swim nappy, this is a reusable swim nappy where as Huggies swim nappies are disposable. I soon learnt that the Kooshies nappy was no good by itself as when my son went for a wee it didnt hold it in. So i immediately started to use the Huggy swim nappies and have never looked back since. They come in four different sizes as follows-
xsmall -3-6kgs(7-13lbs)
small -7-12kgs(16-26lbs)
medium -11-15kgs(24-34lbs)
large -14kgs+(32lbs+).
The swim nappies have Disney designs on them such as Winnie the Pooh Tigger, and Finding Nemo. Huggies Little Swimmers are unisex and so are suitable for boys and girls. They do not swell up in the water but they do absorb any urine and hold in any poo if the baby goes whilst in the water, they have leak proof guards fitted within the design of the nappy. They have tear away sides for ease when changing your baby. There are between ten and thirteen nappies in a pack, ten being in the largest size, thirteen in the xsmall size. I normally pay around £5 a pack, so i feel they are quite expensive but definately worth the money.

Summary: a must for every little swimmer

I found these expensive and invested in those poo-proof trunks which the girls wore under their swimmers. I sold them on Ebay once they grew out of them so much more economical in the long run! Caroline xx
