Advantages: keeps pool poo free
Disadvantages: not reusable , expensive for regular use
Most swimming pools require young, incontinent swimmers to wear swim nappies to protect the pool water from faeces. . I have used Huggies little swimmers nappies on small children at the school for disabled children that I work at. A few of my pupils have no bowel control and these are a great help. They are easy to use and are very effective at containing faeces. Huggies have developed a good disposable swim nappy. This nappy is a pull on like a pair of swimming trunks they can be worn without trunks over the top or with trunks over the top of them. The fabric they are made from does not expand and go soggy in water. Ordinary disposables are no good in water as they expand and go soggy they fall to bits in the pool. These swim nappies fit well round the legs they fit snugly but are slightly stretchy to allow movement. The sides if the nappies are tearaway easy to remove so you can dispose of the nappy and contents. They certainly make our lives easier and more pleasant Huggies swim nappies are available in pink, blue or green; recently ones have been developed with Disney designs on of tiger, the little mermaid and Nemo these look cute great for holiday wear. These swim nappies are available in 3 sizes. 6-18 months / 16-26 pounds, 18-30 months /24- 34 pounds and 24 months 30 pounds and over. . The swim nappies are available at boots and tesco’s as well as some other outlets. The price £3.99 for a pack of blue, green, pink nappies from boots. On offer I believe as the regular price is £4.99 I suspect Disney ones are more expensive. I expect this doting nana will buy some tiger ones and take Adrian swimming in the holidays. It is good to get your little one swimming early and a swim nappy is essential to stop poo in the pool. Thanks for reading happy swimming Mary .
