Advantages: Disney design may appeal to older babies

Disadvantages: Small fit, create 'wedgies', leak solids, need changing more often.

These nappies come in 2 sizes;
Size 4, suitable from 9-15kg (19-34lbs), £8.99 per 42 nappy pack
Size 5, suitable from 14-18kg (32-40lbs), £8.99 per 38 nappy pack

These are described as having 'all the absorbency of a nappy with the freedom of a pant', but I have found this to be untrue. The Little Walkers hold less urine than standard nappies, so have to be changed more frequently, making them less economical than 'normal' disposable nappies. Even more disturbing, they have leaked every time Little HonestBob has produced more than just wee. Not nice at all.

I think part of the leakage problem is size related. Little HonestBob is tall and slender (not sure where he got that figure from, must be the Milkman) and at 19 months old fits nicely into size 4 nappies. The problem I have found with Little Walkers is that the rear of the nappy is not wide enough to sit nicely around his bum. If I'm not very careful about how I position him in the nappy he gets what I can only describe as a 'wedgy'. The nappy pulls over to one side and anything with a little solidness to it leaks out and over the unprotected cheek.

As well as the clearly problematic issue of poo leakage I have a few other niggles about these nappies. Firstly they work out more expensive per nappy than other size 4 nappies and as far as I can see all I'm paying extra for is elasticated sides. Secondly, they don't seem to be a great deal narrower in the centre part than other nappies so how they can make walking any easier I don't know, and finally, due to the elasticated sides and minimal tape I can't wrap the soiled nappy up into a ball and seal it into itself as I would with a normal nappy so have to manhandle a leaking pile of poop into a nappy bag (or bin... see review of Tommee Tippee Nappy Wrapper) which is a risky business with a potential- escapee-still-in-need-of-a-wipe toddler on the mat.

Summary: An expensive mistake

When my daughter was a baby I couldn't use Huggies as I found they were bad for leaking. I much preferred Pampers.

I didn't use these at all but only ordinary nappies and then pull-ups for overnight. I can't really see the aqdvantaes of these and they are more expensive, Caroline xx
