Advantages: Smells really nice

Disadvantages: Too thick and causes nappy rash.

My mum came down the other day with a pack of these. I would definately not buy these myself because they cost around £3 a pack whereas the Asda Smartprice ones we usualy use are just 78p.

I tried another brand of Huggies wipes a little while a go (my mum again!) and wasn't very impressed so I didn't really rush to use these. They've been upstairs for a while and I they were the ones to hand when I had a pooey bum at my fingertips so I started using them.

The pack has a sticky label which you have to pull back to get to the wipes. Over the time I have been using them I have found that it's got less and less sticky. Hopefully it'll still be a bit sticky by the time I get to the last wipes or I could end up with some dry wipes instead.

When I pulled the first wipe out of the packet I noticed that they were really wet. I had this experience with the other Huggies wipes I used; they were so much wetter than any other wipe I've used. They have pictures of little teddies etched into the material and they are very thick. The wipes smell really nice and I tend to wipe my hand with one so I can sit sniffing at it.

I found the wipes quite difficult to use because they were so thick. They didn't get into all the creases very easily or fold very well. The thickness was ideal in the fact that you didn't get body fluids seeping through and ending up on your fingers but they just didn't mould well to wipe things away.

On the packet it says that the wipes 'Helps prevent the causes of nappy rash'. I found that after I had used the wipes a few times my youngest actually had a sore bum in areas. I do think this is down to the fact that the wipes ar so wet that his bum gets really soaked after a change and then the nappy goes on over that. I have actually stopped using them on his bum and tend to just wipe hands and faces with them.

As far as hands and face wiping goes, they do the job but so does a cheaper wipe of face cloth. I'm not likely to start paying £3 to just wipe hands and faces so it's not likely that I will be purchasing these myself. i will also let my mum know that they didn't react well with Elijahs skin and hopefully we won't have to use them again.

Summary: A expensive wipe that doesn't react kindly to my boy's bum.

You sound like you have some real issues. Perhaps you should get some councelling?

Must admit I've never been keen on Huggies wipes (or nappies). Like you, I find the wipes too thick although they didn't bring Jack out in a rash...which the nappies did!
