Advantages: they wipe

Disadvantages: cost

Huggies seem to do lots of different baby wipes, which makes me wonder if they admit some of them aren't that good, and are trying to improve on them with the other ones.

Baby wipes get used for a few different things in my house. Mostly, it's for cleaning one of the boys' bottoms, but we also use them for wiping mouths and hands (occasionally our own).

We buy Asda's own wipes in my house, but my mother in law often pops in with a packet of these. The pack I have in front of me has 64 wipes, each infused with aloe and vitamin E.

THE PACKAGING:
The main thing I notice about the packaging is the picture of a baby on it, which is an unneccessary way of reminding us these are baby wipes and not, well what? The tag line says 'helps prevents the causes of nappy rash'. Personally, I think this is all a big con, as I have never had a case of nappy rash with Asda's own wipes, and these are no better or worse. I also think the idea of giving vitamins through bum wipes is a little silly too.

THE WIPES:
The wipes themselves are very thick - noticably padded and almost towel like, with aeration holes throughout them. They are folded double, and as a result are less pliable and flexible around (for example) a baby's bottom, that the cheaper ones. Again, the extra thickness is an unneccessary element, as the cheap ones do just as good a job. If anything, they detract from the usefulness of the wipe as it makes the pack a lot bigger and less convenient to carry around in the already super crammed baby bag.

THE PRICE:
I don't buy them myself, but they're around £3 a pack, whereas my Asda's own are 78p for 80 wipes!

In conclusion, these are overpriced wipes packaged and designed to appeal to those who think they are getting some luxury for their baby, when really the 'extras' are all unneccessary.

Summary: Asdas own for me!
