Advantages: Thick, moist, smells amazing, cleans well, kind to skin, good price when on offer
Disadvantages: Full price expensive, rip very easily, hard to get out of packet
- Why I Bought -
Huggies wipes aren't my favourite but if I see a good offer I tend to buy them anyway. I picked up a few packs of the Natural Care wipes when they were 3 for the price of 1 in Tesco a few months ago.
- The Packaging -
The wipes come in a light green packet which complements the aloe ingredient nicely. The packet displays the Huggies brand, name of the wipes and states that they contain aloe and vitamin E. There is also a photo of an adorable baby on the front and all the usual information on the back. There is a plastic sticker to reseal the pack and keep the wipes moist. I find it difficult to remove the wipes from the pack because they rip very easily and all the wipes stick together so you end up with ten wipes in one go. This is the main down side to these wipes.
- The Wipes -
You get 64 wipes in a pack which is a fairly standard amount for baby wipes. The wipes are white and have a teddy bear design. They smell divine which gives them an advantage over the Huggies Pure wipes which are otherwise very similar. You can smell the aloe vera which is really pleasant and fresh. They are nicely moist but not too wet. They are really thick and soft which is good but as I have already said they rip very easily. They have no stretch to them at all and you can easily poke a hole in them, very unpleasant while wiping a dirty bottom! Because of this my husband complains when I buy these. They clean faces and bottoms well and don't cause irritation to the skin so the aloe is doing its job there. Overall I do like the wipe, especially the smell but the ripping is very irritating.
- Price and Availability -
The standard price for these wipes is £2.59 which I think is very overpriced. I would never pay this much for them and I tend to only buy them when I see the 3 for 1 deals in Tesco and Sainsbury's. They are available from Boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets.
- Would I Recommend? -
I'm not sure I would recommend these wipes but they are worth a try if you see the 3 for 1 offer. I love the smell and I like how thick, soft and moist they are but they rip way too easily which is irritating and impractical when changing nappies.
Summary: A nice wipe that smells divine but rips way to easily
