i am a mother of three children and after my eldest was born i used cotton wool and water to clean her bottom during a nappie change until she was big enough - so her skin wasent as sensitive, to use baby wipes!
i can remember the cotton wool and water being a right pain (in the bum!) to use and when baby number two came along somebody suggested i use huggies pure wipes in stead as they are basically just cotton wool and water in a wipe! They are really strong though and quite thicker then normal wipes but still soft.
They are around £2.50 a pack but i tocked up when they were on a buy one get one free o half price offer.
They did the job an worked a treat and i was happy as they arent as strong as other wipes and definatly didnt make her sore.
i stopped using them at proberly around 4-5mths as the poo changes (she started eating solids!) i found these wipes didnt work as well as they would to and i found myself using more of them in one go... the only way to explain really is that they dont go over the skin as easily and smoothly as other wipes do...
When my third child came aong i did exactly the same, used them at newborn - 4/5 months.
i have reccomended these to people and still do.
