Advantages: Can often be found on offer

Disadvantages: Not as good as other brands on the market

I recently used these wipes when my usual brand of wipes were out of stock. They were on offer at Tesco priced at £1 per pack with each pack containing 72 wipes. Therefore being priced at £1 these seemed to offer reasonably good value for money. I therefore purchased three packs as with having two toddlers I seem to get through these packs very quickly.

The packet itself is a simple red and blue colour with a picture of a baby on the front. It features a reasealable sticker on the top of the packaging in order to maintain the freshness and moisture of the wipes. There is also a statement on the top of the packet which claims that the wipes are 'Gentle cleaning like cotton wool and water'. The packaging also advertises the fact that the wipes are alcohol free and fragrance free.

When I got the first wipe out, the first thing that I noticed was the texture, it didn't feel as soft and gentle as my usual wipes, but when I rubbed a wipe on my arm, my opinion became quite contradicted as they actual felt quite smooth being rubbed on my skin, yet when held in my hand they felt quite hard and rough which is quite confusing. The wipe also seemed a lot thicker than my usual brand and I wasn't sure at the time whether this would be a good or a bad thing.

When it came to using the wipe, I did find them a bit harder to use as due to being a bit thicker they weren't as flexible to manouvere, therefore meaning I was actually ending up cleaning a smaller area than what my usual wipes would and per nappy change, I was probably using double the amount of wipes which I usually would. They did do the job however, and there was no irritation to my childrens skin.

Overall, they are good value for money, but I certainly won't be replacing my usual brand with these. I would still consider using them if my normal brand is out of stock, or keeping a pack in the changing bag for emergencies. It is an ok product which does do the job, though not as good as others and is in need of improvement.

Summary: An Ok product which could do with some improvement.
