Advantages: Really sticky label to keep wipes wet. Wet, moist, fragrance free. Versatile. Widely available.
Disadvantages: Rip easily. Perforations poor, often take more wipes than I need. Mislead with 'all natural' claim
Two months ago my shower broke. As I rent from a private landlord it is their responsibility to sort out repairs, but from experience I know this can be a lengthy process, so I sent my other half to the shops to buy emergency supplies of wet wipes for the days where I couldn't convince a friend of family member to let me shower at their house!
I can't exactly state my experience when using them on children, as I don't have any, but I find they were pretty good for my needs. They cost £1.99 from my local shop for 64 wipes. A little bit expensive, but they lasted me quite a while (of course shower has now been fixed! I'm not still using these to clean myself) I found they were wet enough to leave me feeling clean, and they are nice and refreshing on hot days. I also use them to clean dirty trainers, wipe dusty surfaces and clean sticky fingers. These wipes are quite thick and have cute pictures embossed on them. It puts a smile on may face, but then I'm usually easily pleased.
The wipes are moist and soft. Sometimes this can lead to them ripping before you even pull them out of a packet. The perforations on the wipes aren't too great either, often I found myself pulling one or two more wipes out of the packet than I wanted to. There isn't much of a smell to them to be honest, I guess it's because these are supposed to be all natural and like using 'cotton wool and water' Anyone looking at the listed ingredients will know that this isn't true, but they've got to market them somehow.
The best thing about these wipes for me is the really sticky label at the opening where the wipes are pulled from. I hate it when wet wipes have the 'sticky' label and it becomes dried out and not very sticky, therefore causing the wet wipes to become dry, useless wipes. These wipes don't have this problem. I've gone through whole packets without any wipes drying out.
All in all, these are okay wipes. I'll probably continue buying them unless a good, cheaper alternative starts being stocked in my local shop.
Summary: Handy to have around, but probably not the best wipe.
