Advantages: soft

Disadvantages: too thick

There are so many different kinds of wipes out there and before you havea baby you think that all wipes are pretty much the same. I would look at the nappy aisle and marvel at all the different kids of wipes, the different brands and what they all claim to do, surely they can';t be that different?

Now that my daughter is 5 months old I consider myself an expert in all things baby-related! I can tell the difference between a huggie's wipe and a pampers wipe and, it has to be said, i prefer pampers.
These wipes come in a red and blue packet which contain 72 wipes. The packet stands out easily as it's colours are bright and there's a picture of a very happy lookng baby on the side which is always appealing!

They are fragrance free which i think is great as it doesn't upset my daughter and I then don't associate the 'fragrance' with nappy-changing. It's funny how soon a seemingly pleasant smell can suddenly be associated with a mucky event once they're assigned to a cleaning profuct! They're designed especially for babies with sensitive skin and can be used from birth (although midwives advice not to usew ipes until th ebaby is approx 3 weeks old...). The package is easy to use with the opening being re-sealable and the plastic sticky resealable bit actually does work and re-stick!
They are very gentle, my daughter has never had a reaction to them and they are very soft.

The wipe itself has a pattern on it which makes it thicker and therefore holds more moisture. The wipe is full of moisture which is useful but I find its a bit too much. And here's where it gets a thumbs down compared to Pampers...because the wipe is so thick I find it difficult to get into the creases and folds of baby's skin. I also find that the thickness means the moisture is just a bit too extreme so my daughter ends up with wet legs etc and I feel like she needs drying off afterwards!
I think that this product definitely needs to be improved, I think if it was to be less thick then it would be easier to use and make me feel as though I have cleaned my daughter thoroughly whilst changing.

These wipes are available widely from lots of different supermarkets, Boots, mothercare etc as well as at local corner shops and online. Prices vary depending upon offers but a packet of 72 costs approximately £2.50

Summary: i prefer pampers
