I'm probably going to sound like some sort of affiliate for Huggies here, but i absolutely love the brand! I have tried many different brands of nappies over the past 19 months, yet Huggies always came up trumps.
When my little boy was born, i wasn't sure what brand to go for. I figured Pampers or Huggies would be the best nappies as they where the leading brands, so i bought a pack of each to try. Actually tell a lie there, i received a free voucher in my Bounty Pack when pregnant for a Huggies Newborn starter pack. I took the voucher to Asda and was given a free starter kit worth £5, containing a pack of Huggies Newborn nappies, Huggies wipes and a pair of Disney socks. I was very pleased at my freebie so decided i would pack the Huggies in my hospital bag for when my little one was born.
Over the first two to three days of having my little boy, i went through a full pack of Huggies nappies. I found them to be very absorbent, kind to the skin and a nice Pooh Bear design on the outside of the nappies too. The sticky tags at the sides are really stretchy, which is idea when getting the nappy to fit snug yet comfortably on a baby. They never once leaked and he never got any rashes from them, i also thought it was cute how padded they where on his bottom- which made him look like a really petite baby with a chubby bottom!
Been one not to waste money i then decided i would use the Pampers nappies i had bought previously and decide which was best from there. Never again! I would find crystals from the nappy on my little ones bottom, they would leak and worst of all where misleading as often felt really full after my son had just one Pee. I did change him as soon as he did anything in his nappy anyway, but a few times people where holding him and said his nappy felt full- only to remove it and it wasn't the case. The crystals inside had just gone really jelly like and could be felt through the nappy.
I don't think i even got through the full pack of Pampers before i went out and stocked up on more Huggies nappies, i decided these where the brand for me and have never looked back since. I did end up using the Pampers nappies again when i was running low on Huggies, but again i found the quality to be nowhere near that of the standard of Huggies. I also tried the Pampers Simply range when my son was in size 3 due to them been the only ones in stock in my local chemist, they where even worse then the newborn ones!
Summary: The title says it all, best nappy on the market by far
