Disadvantages: leaks,soreness

Having had two children, five years apart, I can honestly I think I've tried virtualy every nappy going.
With my eldest I stuck with Pampers. Mainly, because I'm a a "brand name" type person, and like to stick with what I know.
When I had my eldest, they had not long been on the market, and I suppose I saw them as a weaker brand. You know, like some people only ever like Heinz soup/sauce.
When they first came out they were slightly cheaper than Pampers, and so I tried them. They made my son very sore, although I can honestly say, he rarely leaked.
5 years later, and I decided to give them another go. They seem to have a lot more promotional packs than Pampers. At the moment they currently have 15% extra free on most packets, and so are better value. You also get a lot of vouchers through the post if you join the club, so this also reduces the cost.
The nappies have the same anti-rash barrier agent in them as Pampers, but I find the sizes tend to be smaller than Pampers of the same size.
The main thing I don't like about huggies, is the the actual appearance and texture, seems to me, to not unlike that of kitchen paper!! The tabs are very wide, once they are on seem to be much better at staying put than Pampers, and don't tend to slip, so that they do not cut in to babys legs, however they do seem to be fiddlier to get on in the first place.
Overall, they seem to have improved vastly since I had my son, and are just as good, if not better. I use them occasionally, but I still prefer my Pampers!! Just habit!

Opinion from a Dad instead: I prefer Huggies for our daughter, Pampers just leak everywhere! Also gave her bad nappy rash when she was younger. Huggies suited her much better.

I had trouble with pampers too, they always leaked and made my sons skin sore! I always use huggies now - strange how they can be differnet for differnet babies is'nt it? however this is your personal opinion and its a good one! I have read through a few of your opinions and will look at some more soon! I have added you to my circle of friends and look forward to more opinions. tasha
