Advantages: Don't leak, look good , fits well
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
Since I have 2 children and have never written an op to do with them I thought it was about time. I have chosen to write about these nappies because they are sooooooo useful when you have kids, and I want to save people the expense of buying any pampers! The nappy itself comes in many sizes: Huggies Beginnings - Mini 3-6kg (7-13lbs) These are for newborn babies (they are soooo tiny and cute). These are made to hold in that smooshy poo that newborns always do. They also are extra soft especially around the legs so it wont give that ickle baby any nasty rashy washys. £3.99 for 28 or £5.65 for 46 Huggies freedom Midi - 5-9kg (11-20lbs) Maxi - 8-14kg (18-31lbs) Maxi Plus - 10 - 16kg (22-35lbs) Junior - 12-22kgs (27-50lbs) These are designed for a younger baby who is sitting, crawling and just starting to get around. I would also say that they are best for night use too. They also apparently contain a 'control zone' which holds in wetness and keeps skin dry. I can confirm from my use of these that they do hold loads of wee-wee! Midi - £8.99 for 70 Maxi - £8.99 for 62 or £12.49 for 87 Maxi plus - £8.99 for 58 or £12.49 for 84 Junior - £8.99 for 54 or £12.49 for 78 Huggies Adventurers Maxi/Maxi Plus 9-15kg (20-33lbs) Junior/Junior Plus 12+kg (27+lbs) These are more for the active child, they have special 'supersoft double leak guard' so there are no nasty little surprises on your childrens clothes or the floor. These nappies are so good they have won the Mother and Baby Gold award for being the best disposable nappy for 3 years in a row. Maxi plus - £8.99 for 46 Juniour/junior plus - £8.99 for 42 All prices are from Boots so you may find that in some shops they may be slightly higher or lower in price, however, I have found that most shops charge around the same for nappies. However, you
may find these on offer in many stores so it is worth keeping a look out. Well you may ask, why are these nappies so great and why should I choose to put these onto my babies cute little bottie. Well, the reason I love these is because my son, who is 2, has used these all of his life and he has never, ever had any nappy rash. This is great, my daughter, who used pampers mainly as this was before huggies made its way across from America to us, often suffered with nappy rash because of her nappies. I have occasionally had to use other nappies (freebies in supermarket changing rooms) and I have found that all other brands that I have used never hold as much wee-wee and leak all the time. It is a false economy to buy cheaper brands as you have to use twice as many so they actually end up being more expensive. These nappies always fit really well, they are snug around the tummy and legs so it won't leak but it never rubs or causes any rashes around the legs. Also they look and feel nice, they have a cotton feel cover to them unlike the horrid plastic covered nappies which must cause sweat irritation. Huggies also do many other products in there range, wipes (which are also great-but that is another op lol), Pull ups (for potty training) and also swimming nappies (which I am going to try out while on my holidays this year). Huggies are definitely worth the money they are good quality well designed nappies that always do the job. I would recommend these to any new mum to try.
