With my last daughter who is 19 months now. I have not been able to use Huggies, each time I have tried she has such bad nappy rash. I thought it was just the way she was at the time, so i did ude the agai and again over the moths, but each time, she would come up so sore and bleed, so i have come to the conclusion it was some thing used to make the nappy. Since then we have only used Pampers, they suit her and no further problems. Has anyone else had that problem.

my daughter suffreed with both, and we found that the cheap nasty ones that didnt have any lotions were the best, unfortunetly they do no go into bigger sizes, however we have been ok with the asda george hypo-allergenic range, even if they are dearer than the named brands!!

I agree with you both but I have found that the best nappies, from a babies skin point of view, are cloth ones. There are so many different types available nowadays, not just the terry squares, and plastic knickers are a thing of the past. Washing and drying is easier too and I find them no problem at all. They have no chemicals which can cause harm to babies skin and they are much better for the environment and the budget! (sorry, that turned a bit preachy!!)

We've had the opposite problem - every time we use Pampers on our youngest she gets a rash! I thought it must be the lotion they use as she also reacts to wipes sometimes (I know this because when I use cotton wool she is fine). I think there is a place for Huggies and a place for Pampers, and some babies will get on better with one brand than the other.
