Advantages: Widely available
Disadvantages: Newborns leak and bad fit
No matter how often I come back to Huggies either through choice or neccessity we just do not get along. I find that they are too low down around the waist making it hard for me to do them up. I like to tuck the sides around my daughters belly adding extra protection and cannot do that with Huggies. Another problem I have with them is the fastener, although very good at sticking it is often weak at the sides and we have had several wasted nappies as a result of snapping. The liner around the leg is on the whole fairly good but I've had mixed results with leaking. I found that when I was breastfeeding they were all but useless at holding in her bowel movements. However lately they have been mostly fine even overnight with only the odd mishap. I wouldn't use them on a daily basis and never again for a newborn but as a emergency measure they will surfice. Very expensive as they don't really meet my requirements of a nappy. I will point out though that my daughter has and always has had VERY long chunky legs which may be why I have so much problem with doing them up around that area.

- 12/06/01 It just goes to show that all babies are different and i suppose that is why there are so many nappies on the market. Good op. Amanda |

- 21/08/00 I had exactly the same experience, leaky, bad fit.
My baby was very small at birth. |

- 21/08/00 Incredible! I find them great and sometimes I think they're not that available everywhere, one day I serched in 3 stores before I could find them, and when I had to buy pampers I wasn't entirely satisfied. And also I can only find them in UK-couldn't find in G or P where Pamper seems to have monopoly of nappies. |
