... add a quick note here about what the shampoo is like. It's a clear thick liquid, not unlike the consistency of most standard shampoos. But the clear difference is that it doesn't appear to have any scent whatsoever. I had not previously realised this but I have just squeezed some out of the bottle and given a good whiff and I cannot smell anything! I think this is pretty good because it shows the manufacturers really are concentrating on making it kind for sensitive skin, and not just making it look and smell n...more

Crowned ReviewInfaDerm Shampoo: A Gentle Shampoo (1011 words)

My youngest daughter, who is now 2 ½ has always suffered with dry skin; I won't say it's as severe as eczema, but her skin is definitely drier than normal. She also had dry patches on her scalp which I have attempted to treat with Dentinox with no success. Over the last couple of years I have used various different 'sensitive' soaps, bubble baths and creams when bathing her but her skin always seemed to remain dry, and it is sometimes a bit scratchy. And then like a thunderbolt through the sky I suddenly realised that perhaps the shampoo I was using on her was irritating her skin, it was after all left in the bath water once I had washed her hair so obviously had to ..  Read the complete review

Goldshield InfaDERM Shampoo (169 words)

My son had a problem with cradle cap so we decided to try Goldshields InfaDERM shampoo as it was supposed to be kind to dry skin conditions and eczema. The shampoo comes in 250ml bottles and is dermatologically tested, pH balanced, soap, dye, lanolin and fragrance free. It is more expensive than most shampoo's at about £4.50 per bottle but I can assure you it is well worth it. The first time I used this shampoo on Matthew I only put a drop in my hand and even though he has lots of hair it spread really well around his head. When massaged into the scalp it smoothed off the scaly skin immediately so once I had rinsed and dried his hair you ...  Read the complete review

I was given a bottle of Infaderm Shampoo by a friend who had used it for her baby. I have washed my daughter's hair with the shampoo a number of times, and we have not had any reactions or irritations. The bottle contains 250ml of shampoo, and is classed as being conditioning and is dermatologically formulated. It is free from fragrances and is also soap free, dye free, lanolin free and Ph balanced. One of the ingredients is chamomile, which is mild and calming. The shampoo has been developed by dermatology experts, to be kind to delicate skin, that may be prone to being dry and/or having eczema. It is suitable to be used on babies from birth and upwards. The bottle also  Read the complete review

I have discovered this shampoo, 3 months or so ago not for my child, but, for me. Having suffered with really bad itching, flaking scalp for some time, I found that none of the commercial/pharmaceutical shampoos helped it, only taking or applying steroid formulations seemed to make a difference. I decided that it must be irritation of my scalp, not an infection so I even tried 'adult' mild and ph formulated shampoos, before resorting to infaderm, which has been the only shampoo to bring relief. Its not 100% gone yet, but it is at least much, much better. Its easy to use, just like normal shampoo, and it really doesnt smell. Sometimes it doesnt foam well, ...  Read the complete review
