Advantages: smells nice

Disadvantages: drys skin, irritates eczema

Johnson's baby products are probably the most well known of the baby toiletries out there and are even used in the Maternity hospital where my three children were born.

However the claim of being suitable for sensitive skin does not pan out at all in my experience.

Two of my children have very sensitive skin and are prone to eczema and dry skin and I have found Johnson's makes this a lot worse.

The baby bath smells lovely and gives a good amount of bubbles BUT is dries skin out terribly and when my children's skin is inflamed with eczema this actually makes it a lot worse.

When I mentioned this to the DR he told me that Johnson's is not actually recommended for sensitive skin.

We no longer use any Johnson's products and the dry skin is not as bad.

Although it is marketed as for sensitive skin and for babies it still contains the chemical nasties that can upset sensitive skin - sodium laureth sulfate being one of them.

Summary: great for babies with "normal" skin but avoid with eczema

Thanks for this - will know it's one to avoid now as I have sensitive skin!

I would rather have read about the product as well as the other information you have included.

Johnson's baby bath brought my eldest lad in a nasty rash when he was a baby (he is now 18). He has since developed eczema.
