Advantages: Mild and gentle on skin, nice soft fragrance
Disadvantages: None
I am a huge fan of the Johnson's Baby range and the Baby Bath is no exception. We use the 300ml bottles which buy from Boots or the £1 shop for (unsurprisingly) A POUND! Unfortunately, these do not have the pump top that is shown in the product picture, but this is not a problem at all, as when I am getting the bath ready I put LO in his cot anyway so I have both hands free.
The bottle is a lovely bright blue colour, which I think is the great thing about the whole range - the different products have vastly different coloured bottles so when you are frazzled trying to get round the supermarket with half your brain looking for what you need and the other concentrating on preventing baby from going into meltdown it is so easy to see what you are looking for.
It has the no tears formula and this is certainly effective in my experience, as we have lots of bubbles and I splash water all over baby's face (in his eyes as well) and he never once has reacted to the product getting in his eyes.
It has a lovely mild smell, which is not overpowering and is typical of their old-style traditional 'baby' fragrances, which is one of the main reasons I am so fond of them.
One squirt (so a small 20p size-ish amount) into hot running water is more than enough to get a pretty deep bath full of lovely foamy bubbles, which are great for baby to play with!
This is perhaps the most readily available baby bubble bath - I have bought it from Asda, Tesco, the £1 shop, Boots and Morrisons and have seen it in countless other shops - even out little corner shop stocks it.
I must confess, I useit in my own baths too, as it has such a lovely soft fragrance and is extremely mild and gentle on adult and baby skin. We go through about one bottle every month and that is being used twice on most days (once for me and once for baby!) so it is an economical choice too.
We have used it since my son was newborn and have never had any problems with rashes or any reaction to it (although his skin is not sensitive at all).
The product is not slippy or oily at all which is essential for a baby bubble bath as you do not want him/her to slip out of your hold and go underwater.
Summary: The only baby bubble bath you will ever need!
