      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Does exactly what it says

My little boy is now 2 and he seemed to go from being bald to suddenly having a head full of blonde curly hair. His hair is a nightmare though as it always seems to be knotted and can barely get my fingers through it never mind a brush!

I was just buying our normal baby shampoo when I noticed this de-tangling conditioner sitting next to it. Its in a bright pink bottle so quite hard to miss! As it was Johnson's and I am a fan of all of their products I thought I would try it and see if it helped my little boy and his curly mane! It was also only around £2, which for the size of the bottle I thought was quite good!

When I got it home and tried it the first thing I noticed was that the conditioner is runny, very runny! The first time I squeezed a bit into my hand it it ran everywhere, so be warned. It does though have a lovely smell to it. It has the mild Johnson smell that everyone knows and love and then an almost floral scent as well. I only applied a tiny bit to my sons hair, and even as I applied it I could almost feel it smoothing out the knots!

It washed out nice and easy which I also liked as my son isn't a fan of me pouring water over his head so the quicker it can be rinsed the better!

Afterwards i gave his hair and brush and found then it brushed really easily which was great. Even when his hair was dry and I ran my fingers through it, I could definitely feel a softness to it and the tangles were much less. It also had the faint smell of the conditioner and left his blonde curls lovely and bouncy.

Overall I would recommend this for those children who have knotty hair!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

bit expensive but does the job

My daughter was born with a fair amount of hair for a baby and it has only continued to longer and more wild! I bought this as her hair was getting longer and being rubbed dry after her bath it was ending up in clumps of knots. These were sometimes impossible to get out and combing her hair was awful as she would cry throughout as it was so knotty and pulling on her scalp. I did not know you could get conditionner for babies but a friend mentioned this to me and she had used it for her daughter. I got some in tesco luckily it was half price at £1.60 a bottle otherwise i think it's very expensive, although it is a large bottle so should last a while.
The conditionner has a nice fragrance to it and i smooth it over my daughters hair and run my fingers through it to loosen up the hair and knots. Even after rubbing it dry i am able to comb through her hair with ease which she now tolerates so much more. Every now and then there is still a slight knot which i don't think you can avoid with the amount of gunge babies can get in their hair but this conditionner has helped loads and i will definitely continue using it.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A nice conditioner that makes hair look healthy; but doesn't de- tangle

My daughter is five years old with a mahusive long mane of hair right down to her bottom. Her hair is beautiful, so I don't have the heart to cut it off. However, every day we have a ten minute long battle to brush all the tangles out. After her hair is washed, it's even worse! I am constantly scouring supermarkets, chemists and department stores for de-tangling sprays, shampoos, conditioners and treatments; so far, nothing works.

I came across Johnson's Baby Conditioner with De-Tangling formula, and, being a fan of Johnson's products, decided to give it a go. The conditioner is £2.50 from Tesco.

The conditioner comes in a huge bottle- 500ml to be exact. It advertises as being part of the No More Tears family. It also has in letters on the front of the bottle that it contains 'de- tangling formula.'

After washing my daughters hair with shampoo and rinsing, I turned the bottle upside down and whoosh! Loads of the conditioner came out onto my hand and into the bath. First negative; far too runny therefore comes out too fast. I used it from midway of the hair to the ends; not rubbing it in, but almost 'stroking' it in. The conditioner has a nice smell; not like anything I've smelled before so it's hard to describe. It is a pink liquid, which my daughter loves. Children being children, she loves to wriggle and some did go in her eyes. It didn't hurt eyes her at all.

After rinsing and towel- drying, my daughters hair was just as tangly as before. Second negative; the de- tangling formula does not work.

Once her hair was dry, it did look more shiny and glossy, and smelled lovely, but the conditioner did not make any less tangly than before.

I have continued to use the conditioner, mainly because of the smell and the gloss it gives my daughters hair. However, I am still searching for the perfect de- tangling formula!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me!

The other day when I was out shopping in Boots (as usual lol) I spotted this product I hadn't seen before whilst just browsing and decided as it's a Johnson's product and therefore one I trust that I must give it a whirl and what was a bonus is that it's a large size and the only size I saw it available in and costing me about £2.29 it seemed to offer great value for money.

      The Packaging:

Pink plastic 500ml size bottle with a darker pink flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front I'm told it is Johnson's Baby Conditioner 'Detangling Formula' and that it's Johnson & Johnson and the size is stated and I'm told it's 'no more tears'. On the back of the bottle I'm told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients are listed and I'm given contact detail for Johnsons. It's a very simple looking bottle, but good quality!

A Bit About The Product According To The Bottle:

8 of 10 midwives use Johnson's baby products on their own children.

      Best For Baby:

The Johnson's no more tears formula is as gentle to the eyes as pure water. Ideal for gently conditioning baby's delicate hair.

      Best For You:

This mild conditioner leaves hair soft and more manageable. It's special formula coats each hair fibre with an extra conditioning film, effectively smoothing out tough tangles leaving hair soft and easy to comb.
      Clinically proven mildness.

      Directions For Use:

Apply to wet hair after shampooing.
Leave for 1-2 minutes, then rinse

      Me Using It:

Well for anyone who regularly reads my reviews will know I have no children so this I have only had the opportunity on to use on myself and that's fine I wasn't the only adult in Boots buying it for myself, I know as I was talking to a middle aged woman who said she loved it for her and that's what actually clinched the deal! Of course like the bottle says though it is suitable for anyone to use!

So the shampoo, well it's a very light smooth looking opaque light pink colour liquid. It squeezes with ease out of the bottle and when in your hands feels really smooth as silk. It's aroma is lovely too and to me it's just very lightly fruity with a big dash of sweetness to it.

So you wash your hair thoroughly and then onto wet hair smooth some of this through. Now this to me felt quite odd. I'm used to really rich, thick and creamy hair conditioners and this doesn't feel like that at all. I needed an awful lot to coat my hair with (alot more than usual) and it was hard to comb through with my fingers. Even when I was happy that it was on evenly it felt like a film of conditioner. it was strange but it smelt wonderful.

As directed I left in on my hair for a good couple of minutes and it rinsed out with ease. When I dried my hair off with a towel my hair actually felt a little dried out and my hair unusually actually had tangles in it (usually I don't get that at all). I blow dried my hair as normal and my hair still smelt lovely, fresh and clean and was soft but it wasn't particularly smooth and my hair felt like it had conditioner residue still in it though I was sure this was not the case.

My hair was as shiny (but no more so) and the fragrance did linger on my hair for a good few hours but I failed to be overly impressed with this. I'm sure it's great for babies and toddlers hair etc as it is so mild but for grown up hair (and hair with severe issues) this just doesn't cut the mustard, it's that simple. Easy to use and rinse yes, mild and none irritating yes, lovely aroma..... most certainly but the no tangle claim....well this gave me them! Not for me this and I need something much more hydrating! I won't buy this again and I cant recommend it for adults sadly.
