Advantages: Lovely smell

Disadvantages: Read review lol

The other day when I was out shopping in Boots (as usual lol) I spotted this product I hadn't seen before whilst just browsing and decided as it's a Johnson's product and therefore one I trust that I must give it a whirl and what was a bonus is that it's a large size and the only size I saw it available in and costing me about £2.29 it seemed to offer great value for money.

The Packaging:

Pink plastic 500ml size bottle with a darker pink flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front I'm told it is Johnson's Baby Conditioner 'Detangling Formula' and that it's Johnson & Johnson and the size is stated and I'm told it's 'no more tears'. On the back of the bottle I'm told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients are listed and I'm given contact detail for Johnsons. It's a very simple looking bottle, but good quality!

A Bit About The Product According To The Bottle:

8 of 10 midwives use Johnson's baby products on their own children.

Best For Baby:

The Johnson's no more tears formula is as gentle to the eyes as pure water. Ideal for gently conditioning baby's delicate hair.

Best For You:

This mild conditioner leaves hair soft and more manageable. It's special formula coats each hair fibre with an extra conditioning film, effectively smoothing out tough tangles leaving hair soft and easy to comb.
Clinically proven mildness.

Directions For Use:

Apply to wet hair after shampooing.
Leave for 1-2 minutes, then rinse

Me Using It:

Well for anyone who regularly reads my reviews will know I have no children so this I have only had the opportunity on to use on myself and that's fine I wasn't the only adult in Boots buying it for myself, I know as I was talking to a middle aged woman who said she loved it for her and that's what actually clinched the deal! Of course like the bottle says though it is suitable for anyone to use!

So the shampoo, well it's a very light smooth looking opaque light pink colour liquid. It squeezes with ease out of the bottle and when in your hands feels really smooth as silk. It's aroma is lovely too and to me it's just very lightly fruity with a big dash of sweetness to it.

So you wash your hair thoroughly and then onto wet hair smooth some of this through. Now this to me felt quite odd. I'm used to really rich, thick and creamy hair conditioners and this doesn't feel like that at all. I needed an awful lot to coat my hair with (alot more than usual) and it was hard to comb through with my fingers. Even when I was happy that it was on evenly it felt like a film of conditioner. it was strange but it smelt wonderful.

As directed I left in on my hair for a good couple of minutes and it rinsed out with ease. When I dried my hair off with a towel my hair actually felt a little dried out and my hair unusually actually had tangles in it (usually I don't get that at all). I blow dried my hair as normal and my hair still smelt lovely, fresh and clean and was soft but it wasn't particularly smooth and my hair felt like it had conditioner residue still in it though I was sure this was not the case.

My hair was as shiny (but no more so) and the fragrance did linger on my hair for a good few hours but I failed to be overly impressed with this. I'm sure it's great for babies and toddlers hair etc as it is so mild but for grown up hair (and hair with severe issues) this just doesn't cut the mustard, it's that simple. Easy to use and rinse yes, mild and none irritating yes, lovely aroma..... most certainly but the no tangle claim....well this gave me them! Not for me this and I need something much more hydrating! I won't buy this again and I cant recommend it for adults sadly.

Summary: Not for me!

I never new Johnsons made a conditioner. I must tell my daughter to try it on my Grandsons hair as the back of it is always very dry and tangled where he lies. Well great read!
