Advantages: sexy, smooth, scented skin
Disadvantages: none
I like trying out new lotions and potions as much as the next person but sometimes its reassuring to buy a classic, trusted product you know will work.
This is where Johnsons baby lotion comes in.
There is always a bottle in my bathroom cabinet (it's a very big cabinet lol) and I use it often, I wouldn't say every day as sometimes I just can't be bothered to moisturise and I don't have dry skin so I'll survive!
This lotion is in a pink plastic bottle, I think everyone knows what Johnsons baby lotion looks like and although the bottle may have changed slightly over the years its pretty much the same as it has always been!
On the front of the bottle there is the curly 'Johnsons' branding and then it says 'baby lotion', it claims to be clinically proven for its mildness, all of the writing on the front of the bottle is blue and there are no images or anything; a very simple, classic design.
On the back of the bottle is the usual info about the lotion including their well known phrase 'best for baby...best for you' and claims about how versatile the lotion is for cleansing, removing oily substances, moisturising etc.
Its great for removing waterproof eye make up, just squirt a bit onto cotton wool and wipe over your closed eye and all will disappear, great for sensitive eyes too as I seem to have sensitive everything! and have never had a reaction with this.
"Johnsons baby lotion for perfectly babysoft skin"
The back of the bottle shows the little symbol of an open pot with '12' written in it which means it will last 12 months once opened but I don't think mine ever lasts me that long anyway!
The bottle I have is 500ml as this was the largest one available at Sainsburys which is where I bought mine when they were having a half price babycare special!
It is also available in a smaller size which I think is 250ml.
My 500ml was half price as I say so I only paid £1.39 for this huge bottle, £2.79 isn't bad for full price for such a big size.
Johnsons baby lotion is widely available in places such as Boots, Superdrug, Bodycare, Savers, all UK supermarkets and chemists so wherever you are I'm sure you'll be able to lay your hands on this great product!
The lotion itself is pale pink to match the bottle and has a lovely clean smell that isn't too strong but you can still smell it slightly after an hour or two.
It's a thick, rich lotion and a squirt goes a long way, it sinks into my skin nicely and makes me sexy and soft!
It isn't sticky when you massage it into your skin but for some reason my hands feel sticky after applying it so I need to wash them.
I have very sensitive skin so baby products are ideal for me, I put this lotion everywhere and now my bum (and everywhere else!) is as smooth as a babies!!
Summary: A classic product to be trusted

- 06/09/08 I use baby lotion for cleansing and find this stings my skin. I use Co-op's own brand which is brilliant and half the price and smells good, too! |
