Advantages: The smell

Disadvantages: None

When Noah was born just over two years a go, I recieved a bottle of this Johnsons baby lotion. At the time I remember thinking 'That was a waste of money, I'll never use it'. The only thing that I thought I may use it for is to remove my eye makeup like I used to watch my mum do years a go, but since I never, ever remember to take my make up off before I go to bed then it would probably sit in a cupboard until I decided to throw it away.

Johnsons has a great reputation when it comes to baby care. All of there products are clinically proven to be mild on your baby's skin and this baby lotion is no exception. It claims to leave baby's skin soft and apparently 8/10 midwives use it on their own children.

Recently I have noticed that Noah has quite dry skin behind his ears and on the tops of his arms so I decided to start moisterising him with this to see if his skin gets a bit better.

The bottle is a lovely baby pink and it has a nice soft feeling to it. The actual lotion is pink too and is very thick in consistency. I find that when I squeeze a bit from the bottle onto my fingers it will stay still and not run down my arm and make a mess on the floor. I like this fact as Noah likes to have a bit on his fingers too.

When you rub it into the skin it disappears almost immediately which is great. I hate it when you start rubbing a cream into your body parts and you end up with lots of white greasy lotion everywhere that takes half an hour to soak in. It does soak into the skin very quickly and doesn't leave a greasy spot anywhere.

I have to say that I did notice a instant result with this lotion. The skin behind Noah's ears is particularly thick and flaky but it did appear to be much softer and less flaky after rubbing this in. His arms were also softer. I have also started using this lotion on my face after a shower as I find the water really dries out my skin and my face has been much better. If I have a shower in the morning then apply this lotion then I find that my tinited moisteriser goes on much better too.

I think the most appealing thing about this lotion is the smell. I can't really describe it. All I can say is it reminds me of a newborn baby. It's got that baby smell written all over it. I find the smell so pleasant and appealing that I love having it on my face to sniff at all day. I do find that the scent lingers for quite a while too.

Over all I would definately recommend this product if you have some dry skin or if you have a little one with dry skin. Although they do recommend that this product is fine to use on a newborn baby, Im not sure that I'd be happy to use it on Elijah yet.

Summary: Not sure I'd want to use it on my little baby but fine for me and my toddler.
