Johnson's Baby Lotion
Advantages: Mild, gentle and moisturising
Disadvantages: Consistency is a little thin
When it comes to baby products there is such a wide range to choose from and we all tend to have favourites. For me I really like Johnsons products as I find they offer great value for money and I like how the products are on both mine and my daughter's skin. My mum only used Johnsons products with me and I seem to be doing the same with my daughter.
One product I received in a baby hamper from a friend was Johnson's Baby Lotion amongst other baby products. Johnson & Johnson have been manufacturing baby products for decades and is a brand known and probably used in most households.
Johnson's Baby Lotion is apparently the number one choice in hospitals as it is an incredibly gentle lotion which nourishes and softens delicate baby skin. It helps protect from dryness ensuring the skin is left baby soft. The baby lotion is hypoallergenic, allergy and dermatologist-tested and not to forget it is also clinically proven to be mild on the skin.
*~* Packaging *~*
You can see Johnson's Baby Lotion a mile off from the shelf as it is in a baby pink plastic oval bottle with a pink plastic flip top lid (it screws off so can be removed should you want to). On the front of the bottle is the famous signature logo and text all in blue font. There is also the logo for mildness on the front of the bottle. On the back is all the usual information such as ingredients etc.

* Scent *
Johnson's Baby Lotion has an unmistakable baby fresh scent which you can smell as soon as you open the top. The aroma is mild, clean and reminds me of the fresh linen/ cotton scent you can get in airfreshners! The scent lasts on the skin for quite sometime and I find it quite calming and soothing.
* Consistency *
The baby lotion has quite a thin consistency but as it is a lotion it is not expected to be thick like a cream. Because of its consistency it can come out of the bottle quite quickly which can cause wastage as you have far too much. I find it is best to give the bottle a shake before you use it just to try and thicken it up a bit.
* Using It *
Even though the consistency is a little too thin for my liking the pale pink lotion is light to the touch and certainly doesn't have a greasy feel to it. When applied to either mine or my daughter's skin it is absorbed into the skin quickly and it doesn't leave an oily/ sticky residue behind instead our skin is left incredibly soft and smooth (due to the rich emollients used) with the added bonus of the gorgeous baby fresh aroma which seems to last for ages after you have applied it. Johnson's claim the baby lotion has a fast absorbing formula and I definitely believe this as there is nothing worse than waiting ages to put clothes on after using a lotion or cream.
What I like about the baby lotion is that it doesn't leave a residue behind and it is as if you haven't used it as the skin takes it all. The only way you would know you had applied it would be from the scent.
I generally use this on my skin and my daughter's in the mornings before we both get changed and I find it great for giving her a mini massage as her skin is left incredibly soft, cleansed and moisturised as with the cold weather I want to ensure her skin is well protected.
The lotion is easy to apply as you simply pour the desired amount into your hand and gently massage onto your skin. Because of the consistency just be careful when you pour it as you can get too much. When I put it on my daughter I tend to rub it in my hands quickly to warm it up as I do find it stays quite cool in the bottle.

A great caring, non-greasy lotion ideal for anyone. It cares for the skin by gently cleansing and moisturising ensuring your skin is kept nourished and protected. A recommendation from me to all those wanting to keep your skin well nourished.
