Advantages: Moisturises better than lotions and creams, smells nice, removes waterproof eye make-up.
Disadvantages: None.
My skin was very dry a couple of months ago and no amount of body butter or creams were making much of a difference, so I thought I would try a body oil. I searched online for some, but the fancy ones cost quite a bit, so I decided to just go with the Johnson's Baby Oil since I was pretty sure it would work without costing me a fortune. I chose to buy this one over the original as it contains aloe vera and vitamin e which are both really good for your skin.
Packaging
The oil comes in a 300 ml clear plastic bottle with a light green flip top lid. Since the bottle is clear, you can see how much oil you have left. The flip top lid is not fiddly and is easy to open even with wet hands.
Uses
As stated above, I mainly bought this to use as a body oil. I apply it after I come out of my shower while my skin is still damp as it is meant to lock in up to 10 times more moisture that way. You can also put a few drops in your bath water, or use it on your hair or as an eye make-up remover.
Does it work?
The consistency of the oil is quite thin and runny. I actually like this because it means that the oil won't feel very greasy on my skin. I just pour a small amount onto my hand and then rub my hands together and smooth over my skin. It feels very silky soft to apply and leaves my skin feeling very soft, but not really greasy. I apply this at night and my skin feels really soft and not at all oily in the morning. Any dry patches are all gone. The scent is quite pleasant too. There is a hint of aloe vera in it and it smells fresh and a bit like babies! The scent doesn't really linger on my skin though.
I have also used this as an eye make-up remover several times and it works really well and even removes waterproof mascara and I'm sure it's great for my lashes too. I do wash my face after use though as otherwise my eye area feels oily.
The 300 ml bottle lasts for ages. I used mine for about a month when my skin was at its driest and I've only used up about a fourth of the bottle. It really improved the state of my skin and it is not as dry any more so I am using a body butter instead and saving the baby oil for the next dry weather spell.
Price and Availability
This baby oil can be bought at most supermarkets and chemists, and also online. I purchased my 300 ml bottle from Boots where the full price is £2.55 but it is currently on offer for £2.29.
Final Word
Honestly, this baby oil works better than any other moisturiser I have ever used before so I am thinking of finishing off my stock of body lotions and creams and then using just this to moisturise my skin as it is that good. It is also quite good value for money as a 300 ml bottle will last for 4 months and costs less than the body butters and lotions I use.

Summary: A multi-use product that works really well.
