Advantages: Cheap, nice as a massage oil

Disadvantages: Takes ages to rub in on wet skin

Johonsons baby oik. Another cult classic with many uses. I was just reading a orevious review on it and some people even use it on tiled floors!


I use it purely as a moisturiser and some times and massage oil if the other half is feeling generous.

The bottle is clear showing the clear oil inside with a sticking on thr front and a sticker with instructions on the back. It has a pink flip up lid. I do not believe this to be very well designed as on my bottle the sticker has got oil underneath making it look shabby.

A normal sized bottle is 300ml and I believe it costs about £1.50 to £2 but I'm sure you can get it in the pound shop too...

It claims to lock in 10 more moisture than other moisturisers and it works best if applied to wet skin.

In my opinion it feels disgusting on wet skin and takes ages to soak in before you can put any clothes on. Dry skin it rubs in ok, nothing brilliant but afterwards my skins feel better but not how I would expect from such a popular cult buy.

Unfortunatly I cant comment on its use for on babies!

Overall its a good product, does make a different but it is't a must have I dont believe.

Summary: Prehaps it is meant more for babies...
