Advantages: mild and gentle, moisturises, softens, non - greasy, can be used by adults too
Disadvantages: None
Johnsons Baby Oil is one of my favourite baby products from the Johnsons Baby Range that you can find in most supermarkets and chemists/stores like Boots, Superdrug or Savers and it costs approximately £2 - £2.50.
It comes in a medium sized plastic bottle which is colourless and transparent and you are able to see the oil inside which is also colourless and translucent. The bottle has a pink screw top cover with a lift up flap which would reveal a small round hole to power the oil through when lifted..
The oil is easy to pour, fluid-like texture which has a gentle and subtle almost faint scent.
To apply, you pour a small amount on your hands and massage into the skin. It is best to put this on the baby's skin soon after a bath to 'lock in moisture' so I'd apply this to my baby after her bath before bedtime in the evenings (instead of lotion or vaseline) and it was great as it is non-greasy and leaves the skin smooth and soft and it leaves a nice scent behind.
It is ideal for baby massage that both you and the baby can enjoy... I also applied this to my baby's hair and this leaves it soft and moisturised and easy to comb, I still use it on her hair even if she's five now:) and it works well leaving the hair and scalp moisturised.
The product contains Mineral Oil and Fragrance and is mild and gentle on the skin. Johnsons also manufacture an 'Aloe Vera and Vitamin E' version now which contains Aloe extract and Vitamin E and a 'Lavender' version too.
I'd recommend the product, great for babies (and adults alike) keeping skin moisturised, smooth and soft...
