      Brilliant buy worth every penny

Also using the other products in the bedtime range from Johnsons I absolutely love the smell of this one on my son. The lovely clean baby smell.

I use this every night for almost 3 years on my son and it helps with drying in case I've missed any spots when patting down. My son has really sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate him at all. It absorbs on to the skin really well, dries off all nooks and crannies (not wanting to go in too much detail). Of course smells lovely as all of the Johnsons products and doesn't clump up or block easily as I found other ones did.

As a parent I do find this has helped with his bed time routine which is a must for all parents. This is definitely a product that does what it says on the tin so to speak. Although word of warning having your toddler help to apply this, you do then find talc powder all over the floor, like a dusting of snow as my son says!

It is reasonably priced and well worth buying in bulk when on offer. It is better to buy the bigger bottle as you're getting more for your money and does last a long time.

      Lovely!

I am a huge fan of Johnson's baby products even though I have no baby - ok I'm just a big baby at heart and love using them all for myself lol.

I spotted this one the other day in Boots that I hadn't seen before and as I love Johnson's and the smell of lavender it made sense to purchase it!

      The Packaging:

425g white and oblongish plastic bottle with a lilac coloured sprinkler to the top of it that twists open and closes with ease. On the front of the bottle I am told that it is Johnson's Baby Powder 'Lavender & Chamomile' and that it is clinically mildness proven and that it is a Johnson & Johnson product and the weight is stated (as I've listed already). On the back of the bottle other information given includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients are listed, directions for using it are given and contact details for Johnson's are stated. Nice informative and simple bottle this is and I'm impressed that it is so easy to use.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Supplied On The Back Of The Bottle:

8 out of 10 midwives use Johnson's baby on their own children.

      Best For Baby:

Johnson's baby powder lavender & chamomile pure cornstarch formula is so powdery light; it absorbs even more excess moisture. When smoothed into skin, it releases a wonderful smelling aroma of lavender and chamomile, known since ancient times for their soothing properties.

      Best For You:

A soothing powder for use after bath or shower to help keep skin babysoft, smooth and comfortable and with the aroma of lavender and chamomile known to help relax tired bodies.

Johnson's don't make baby products for anyone else.

      Using It:

Basically the idea with the sprinkler system to the top of it to sprinkle a small amount of the fine white powder directly onto clean skin and gently massage it in and anyone can of course use this!

The smell of this is light and clean and in my opinion very unisex indeed. You do have to be careful how hard you shake the bottle particularly when it's full as it really does come out thick and fast so use the soft approach with this!

So like I say it has a delicate aroma and smells ever so lightly of lavender. I can't really smell the chamomile within it at all but like I say this really is a very clean fragrance indeed.

A light dusting of this really does absorb into the skin quickly leaving skin with a light fragrance and with an incredibly smooth and soft feel that really does last for hours upon hours.

You do have to be careful what you wear after applying this though or you get white powdery residue where you probably do not want it to be seen so either wear light clothes after application, wait a while or really rub it in!

      Verdict:

A great product to get skin looking in tip top condition. None agitating, clean smelling and delivers incredibly soft skin in an instant this stuff is great...providing you don't overdo using it of course lol.

Available in all good supermarkets and chemists etc priced at about £2.99 a bottle (that's what I paid in Boots!).

        Disadvantages

A lovely powder for my nooks and crannies!

I will start by saying that I love the smell of babies! Before I go any further I will qualify that comment. What I actually mean is that I love the lovely clean smell you get when they've just been bathed, powdered and changed, not the 'before' smell, about which I won't go into detail in case you're getting ready to eat!

So, taking this into account, it isn't difficult to see why I love to use Johnsons Baby Powder. I have always bought the standard version for myself but when I got some at Christmas as part of the usual pile of stocking fillers it was the Lavender and Camomile one. I love the smell of both Lavender and Camomile so this was sure to be a winner.

The packaging is the same as the standard version apart from the fact that there is a lavender coloured box on the front of the carton with the words Lavender and Camomile on it.

The actual talcum powder itself is just as good as the standard Johnsons Baby Powder. I find that it is finer and softer in texture - apparently this is so that it is even more absorbent. Of course it does smell slightly different as well, although I must say that I would not have been able to identify the fragrance as either Lavender or Camomile but it does smell very nice! The fragrance is supposed to be soothing and relaxing.

I always use talcum powder after taking a bath to make sure that all my nooks and crannies are nice and dry - I'm not going to go into too much detail about that here either - you'll have to use your imagination!

Seriously one thing I do find is that, being somewhat well endowed, I sometimes get a heat rash under my bust and talcum powder helps to keep me dry and thus helps to alleviate the problem.

All I have to do is sprinkle some on my hands and smooth it onto my skin and everything feels nice and smooth and dry.

I have tried other, perfumed, talcum powders but find that they do tend to irritate me so Johnsons Baby Powder is ideal. It does the job and it smells heavenly!

Obviously it is perfect to use on your baby and is even mild enough for new born babies. It will help to keep baby's nether regions dry and help to reduce the instances of nappy rash.

The only warning that comes with this product is to keep the powder away from the mouth and nose especially of baby, as inhaling the powder wouldn't be a good idea.

Johnsons Baby Powder is made by Johnson and Johnson of Maidenhead and is part of a whole range of products traditionally used for all your baby's needs, but as it says on the carton 'Best for Baby - Best for You'.

The carton contains 425g of powder and costs around £3. As with all the Johnsons products is always very slightly higher than the equivalent 'own brand product, but then you do get the Johnsons quality for your money!

The only real problem that I find with using talcum powder on a regular basis is that I end up with a layer accumulated on everything in the bathroom necessitating regular cleaning!

Bother - I should have guessed there'd be a catch!
