Advantages: Smooth skin, cheap, good for babies and adults

Disadvantages: too much may cause dry skin

No babies in our household. My mother used this on me when I was little. Now I’m not so little anymore but still we always have Johnson’s baby powder in the house.

++Variety, the price ++

There’s quite a variety of different Johnson’s baby powders. On the website, I found more different ones than I’ve seen in the shops so maybe some of these are only sold in the US.

Johnson's Baby Powder
Johnson´s Lavender and Camomile Baby Powder.
Johnson´s Baby Powder Vanilla & Jasmine
Johnson´s Baby Powder with Aloe & Vitamin E Medicated
Johnson´s Baby Powder Pure Cornstarch with Aloe Vera & Vitamin E

++ Availability ++
As I haven’t seen Johnson´s Baby Powder Vanilla & Jasmine, Johnson´s Baby Powder with Aloe & Vitamin E Medicated and Johnson´s Baby Powder Pure Cornstarch with Aloe Vera & Vitamin E in the shops or on UK websites, I can’t give the price for them.

You can get Johnson's Baby Powder in 100g and 500g but Johnson´s Lavender and Camomile Baby Powder seems to only come in 425g size.
Johnson's Baby Powder 100g is about 85p - £1.00 and 500g is about £1.85-£2.00 and Johnson´s Lavender and Camomile Baby Powder is around £2.50 – £2.70 for the 425g shaker.

Johnson’s have dozen other baby products, which are also great for us older ones too.

You can buy the baby powder in Boots, Superdrug, Savers and high street chemists.

++ The Packaging ++

As we buy the lavender and Camomile Baby Powder now, I will be reviewing that from now on.
The shaker is white and lavender. It has a lavender top that screw open and closed and on the top, it says close after use. It’s good advice as I knocked it over once before and it’s nightmare as it goes everywhere.
On the front, it says: New extra absorption in a purple flag box.
Johnson’s baby powder in blue letter and then a small picture of lavender and camomile followed by the words Lavender and Camomile. Clinically Proven in circled letters around the word Mildness
Johnson & Johnson 425g e in blue lettering.
On the back 8 out of the 10 midwives, use JOHNSON’S Baby on their own children.
Best for the baby
Johnson’s Baby Powder Lavender and Camomile’s pure cornstarch formula is so powdery light; it absorbs even more excess moisture. When smooth onto the skin, it releases a wonderful smelling aroma of Lavender and Camomile, known since ancient times for their soothing properties.

Best of you
A soothing powder for use after bath or show to help keep skin babysoft, smooth and comfortable and with the aroma of Lavender and Camomile known to help relax tired bodies.

++ The product ++
Open the top and smell of Lavender and Camomile wafts around. It smells so clean and fresh. It brings back memories from childhood or babysitting jobs.
Shake some onto your hand. The powder is white and very fine. It’s excellent for using when you’ve just gotten out of the bath and you rub into your skin so you can have that fresh smell with Lavender and Camomile all day. It relaxes you and makes you feel very clean. Especially on my toes and feet. The talc falling in between my toes, it’s just a lovely feeling.
After a couple of times of usage, your skin feels as smooth as a baby’s bottom. Although if you overuse it, it can make your skin quite dry so I wouldn’t recommend using it too much.
Also be careful with squeezing the shaker as it can puff in your face and it’s not pleasant to have lungs full of talcum powder.

Also it’s great to use in your hair. This might sound silly but if you’ve got greasy hair and you haven’t time to wash it and you going out quickly. I do it when I get home from work and only have an hour to get ready (because my lazy friends don’t and they want to go out early). I just get some of this in my hands and then run it through my hair until you can’t see the white powder anymore and hey presto, greasy hair gone until you can wash it. Although, I wouldn’t recommend doing it a couple of times after each other otherwise it will just stop taking the grease away and leave you with hair full of talcum powder. It’s only a quick fix solution.

++ Overall Comments ++

It’s a brilliant product for anyone. Other brands just don’t come close to the quality of Johnson’s Baby Powder. It’s not expensive and leaves you fresh and clean with a smooth and cared for skin.

Thanks for reading :D
