Advantages: Smells nice. Great talc. Soft skin
Disadvantages: None
I have used Johnson’s baby powder no i will write that again my mum used Johnson’s baby powder on me when i was a little girl and now i use it on my kids so you could say i have been using Johnson’s baby powder for 25 years. Johnson’s baby powder it’s not like all the other baby powder that are on the market these days as Johnson’s baby powder leaves that fresh feeling and smell all day long. It takes me back to my child hood times.
=============
So whatis it?
=============
Basically Johnson’s baby powder is a very fine white powder ( talc some people say) that you use on your skin to soak up excess dampness either after a nappy change or a bath or shower. This leaves a comfortable layer on the skin that helps prevent friction that causes skin irritations. Johnson’s baby powder is the only one which offers complete protection to a baby’s sensitive skin not only is it sterilized, but also unlike adult powders the edges of the talc particles are specially designed to penetrate the pores. Johnson’s bay powder has no additives. Johnson’s claim it is free from harmful bacteria and does not block skin pours. It’s a non irritant. It’s smooths easily and smoothly over the skin when applied. Johnson’s baby powder Feels to soft and silky and only a little is needed. This talc is OK for new born babies as long as you don’t put it on freshly cut unhealed umbilical cord. Also do not let babies breath in the powder as could cause breathing problems. Do close the top after you have finished as this will prevent the powder from going hard and drying out.

So now we now what Johnson’s baby powder is how do we use it.
================================================= =
Well Johnson’s baby powder is for use after a bath or shower and a nappy change. Make sure that the baby/adult is dried as much as possible turn the lid on the powder anti clockwise to open the holes and sprinkle a little on the sin and rub it in well as when required . Watch around the eyes if putting on the face as if it gets into your eyes it may sting. If you are doing a nappy change then you need only a tiny amount and rub over the bottom as this will leave your babies bottom feeling and smelling fresh and nice and your babies bottom feeling so soft. I never thought i would here my self say that about a babies bottom smelling nice you just can’t imagine a babies bottom smelling nice!!!. Johnson’s baby powder comes in a white tub with a circular lid with holes in he top pretty much the same as the rest you find. Johnson’s baby powder can be found in all supermarkets, boos ,super drug, all good baby outlets and even my corner shop but shop around as you may get offers like bogof or buy 2 for £2. It’s a very good idea to shop about as you never know. Johnson’s baby powder comes in original and lavender and chamomile never tired this product but when i do then i will be sure to add it to this review.

Price.

I thought i wold do a price check to see if there was much difference there is a bit of difference to tesco my baby powder.
JOHNSON’S BABY POWDER- 200G 0.77
JOHNSON’S BABY POWDER-500G 1.68
TESCO MY BABY POWDER 250G 0.67
TESCO MY BABY POWDER 500G .0.94
===================
Overall.
===================
So overall negative point none in 25 years apart from the time i hadn’t closed the lid and my son got hold of the bottle and got back into the room and it just looked like it had been snowing indoors. Johnson’s baby powder is for external use, keep out of reach of children especially when you haven’t done the top up. Do not use on broken skin, avoid powder away from your child’s face to avoid inhalation which can cause breathing problems.
Best bits about Johnson’s baby powder foe me has got to be when i have to put my kids to bed at night time and giving them a cuddle and you get a sniff of powder heaven. I loved that baby smell it leaves on here skin bliss.
Summary: Smells nice. Great talc. Soft skin

- 18/04/07 Good review, although its no longer recommended to use on girls/women because of the risk of ovarian cancer, and its general carcinogenic qualities. This website sums it up quite well: http://www.preventcancer. com/consumers/cosmetics/t alc.htm |
