I first started using Johnson's baby powder 10 years ago when my son was born, up until then I had always used talcum powder designed for grown ups, with more scent and a higher price tag! My favourite was Dior's talc! As soon as I smelt the lovely fresh, clean scent of Johnson's baby talc I was hooked!

Johnson's are a long established American company as I'm sure most people know. When I first started using Johnson's baby powder there was only one original type to choose from. Now Johnson's make several types of baby powder including vanilla and jasmine and lavender and camomile. Although I have only seen the vanilla variety in the States.

The powder comes in a plastic white container and looks plain but clean. It is easy to twist open the lid. The powder is very fine. I have tried other brands of baby powder such as Boots own but am not keen on the smell. I also think the powder grains are not so fine as Johnson's.

To apply simply shake a little into your hands and pat over your body. When using this for baby's it is important not to let them inhale the powder.

Johnson's baby powder is really good to use after swimming as it helps dry your skin and makes it easier to get clothes on, as they don't stick. It is also good to prevent chaffing. In the summer I find using powder helps me to stay feeling cool. It is also lovely to use for a massage!

Overall a great product that can be used from birth. It is widely available and costs around 74p for a 200g container.
