Advantages: It's thick, creates less mess than others, has a lovely mild scent!

Disadvantages: None for me!

Although I have twin toddlers they are not the reason I use baby powders, in fact I've used them ever since I can remember, my firm favourite being Johnsons, although Boots own comes a close second.

Johnsons Baby powder can be bought in either small travel sized bottles as I call them or the larger 500g white bottles. They are very basic and clean looking bottles clearly stating that they are Johnsons and it's baby powder as well as proudly printing that it's clinically proven mildness.

The back of the bottle advises that you sprinkle Johnson's Baby powder onto your hands and smooth onto you baby's skin. By doing this you create a smooth friction free layer to reduce the effects of rubbings and chafing to keep baby's skin healthy and soft. You can use it after a bath or shower to keep your skin dry, smooth and fresh.

The top of the bottle screws open, allowing small holes to open for you to shake it out at your own pleasure. Once finished you just screw the cap closed, leaving the holes closed and the powder unable to escape.

Johnsons powder sprinkles out as a fine white mist or pours out as a thick white powder depending on how wide open you have the holes. It has a very subtle smell but the smell it does have is extremely clean and fresh, it is such a gentle smell that suits all.

I always use it after a bath and it does leave my skin feeling soft and smooth as well as creating a gentle and cleansed scent afterwards. It dries off my twin boys skin lovely after they've had a bath too and has also helped prevent nappy rashes by sprinkling a little in their nappies when I spot a slight bit of redness.

I have often suffered from sore inner thighs from chafing as I'm walking, especially in the summer when it's hot and I'm sweating. It does form a protective layer softening my skin and easing the soreness as well as preventing my skin from rubbing nastily again - at least for the time being anyway.

My mum often uses it on her hair if she can't be bothered or doesn't have the time to wash her hair as it is known to rid the grease or at least make your hair look less greasy until you have chance to wash it - obviously not a shampoo substitute mind you lol!

I would reccomend Johnsons Baby Powder to absolutely anybody, it is gentle on your skin therefore won't aggrevate it in anyway. I have said Boots Powder comes quite close to this but not quite close enough to make it my favourite, Johnson's is thicker, creates less mess and has more of a clean and gentler scent to it!

Summary: A brilliant powder that has a few uses!

My friend at school used to put this on her hair to stop it looking greasy when we were teenagers. I used to think she was mad. lol
