As its summer time I have found my self sweating with the heat. Its been an unbearable summer heat that is so high. As I have been sweating a lot more I have noticed that some area's of my poor body are getting a heat rash. So as to avoid a heat rash I have started to wear Johnson's Baby Powder to protect those areas from the ever increasing amounts of sweat that my poor body keeps producing. Normally I use the regular scent of Johnson's Baby Powder having run out I went to the market to get a new container of powder.

As my husband does not like the scent of normal baby powder(yes I know what's wrong with him) I noticed that they had different scents. I found this cooling cucumber melon Johnsons baby powder. I thought I would give it a try to see if it does what it says. Cooling powder wow. Must be a miracle I told my self a powder to cool us down and perhaps keep up cool. Sounded to good to be true was my thought as I prepared to try this powder for the first time.

As I rubbed the powder under my arms I was happy that I noticed what felt like an immediate cooling and the scent was not too bad either. I figured that the scent test would have to wait till my husband was around. As for the cooling feeling in my under arms I have to say that it was rather discerning like there was a strange chemical on my skin making it instantly cool a few degrees. I have to say that the way it makes me feel does not make me like the product. I am sure it was just the cooling effects of the powder but the longer I wore the powder the weirder it made me feel, almost as if it was heating up and no longer cooling.

As my husband was finally around he took a big whiff of the powder and declared that he liked it, and would be so much happier if that was to be the permanent replacement to the normal stinky baby powder scent I normally use. As he really liked it I really wanted to like it to however that was not to be.

As we sat around our table later that night and discussed if the powder really worked or not he said he felt it did while I did not. I was annoyed by the smell of it shortly after putting it on and it seemed that no matter how many times I washed the area or applied another perfume or powder or deodorant the smell of the cooling cucumber powder would not go away. I did try the powder on several occasions thinking that maybe I just needed to get used to it however that was not the case. I have since gone back to my normal scented baby powder with nothing extra to offer. It does the job for me.

It was amazing to me that a product made by the same company could really be that different from the normal product that has made so many happy over the years. I have come to realize that just because it's a trusted name does not mean that all of their products are trusted products.
