I first experienced Johnsons Baby Top to Toe wash when I was in hospital in labour with my daughter. I had a bath before and after I had given birth and my only choice of bubble bath was Johnsons Baby Top To Toe Wash.

About a month later I went to Tesco and saw a bottle of it on the shelves. I sneekily unscrewed the lid and had a good sniff. The smell was just full of happy and emotional memories of the best and toughest day of my life, I just had to buy it.

It is priced at £2.35 for a big 500ml bottle. The bottle lasted ages too - months infact. It's also available in all good supermarkets and baby stores.

The bottle is pretty basic looking, just transparent with the Johnsons teadrop logo and a small product description on the front. The lid is a pump which makes it really easy to dispense the liquid and get the right amount out. It can be abit of a problem when you get near the end of the bottle though.

There is no way to describe the smell - it's just very clean, fresh and nice! It's a smell I just can't seem to get enough of. It really has that new born baby smell to it. It's actually quite mild.

The top to toe wash is made from a formula which is as pure to the eyes as water and has Johnsons 'no more tears' guarentee and whilst I haven't tried rubbing it into my eyes I am quite positive this is true from past experiences, therefore making it a happier bath time all round. The product also claims to be milder than any baby soap, pH balanced and non drying and non irriating - my baby (not so much of a baby these days) has never had any sort of reaction to the formula.

It can be used on either baby/child or on adults. I have occassionally used it in my baths (mainly just when I've run out of my own, and I'll explain why below).

The wash can be used in the bath by pouring it under running water (or swishing it around with your hand). The only downside is that it doesn't bubble up, only a tiny bit and they dissapear within a couple of minutes. This isn't too bad if it's a babys bath but if you're using it in an adults bath it isn't great - just feels like your sitting in a tub of plain water. Although the smell does last.

I find the best way to use it for a baby is by getting your baby wet, pouring some top to toe wash into your hand and washing their body by hand. As the name suggests it can be used on all parts of the body. Again it doesn't lather up brilliantly but it's okay and it does the job.

Johnsons Baby Top to Toe wash can also be used on hair as a shampoo (not very effective on adults though!).

When my daughter was dry after using the top to toe wash she was really soft, smooth and smelling lovely. Her hair was always really light and fluffy too. I found the best part was that the smell lasted all day long, especially on her hair.

Here's a list of ingredients so if by chance there is anything in it that you're allergic to you can stay well away: Aqua, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum - [FPT0981]. It is also free from soap.

Overall this is another great product from Johnsons - kind to the eyes, kind to the skin, mild formula, can be used on sensetive skin, smells lovely, has a long lasting smell, can be used on babies and adults, can be used on hair aswell as body and can be used as a bubble bath aswell as body wash.

We have recently changed to a 'big girls' bubble bath but only because my daughter loves bubbles in the bath now and because her hair is alot thicker so I need to start using proper shampoo on it.

I recommend this product to anybody that has a baby.
