Advantages: Gentle and mild product
Disadvantages: Doesn't lather very well
When I was expecting my first baby, I stocked up on a ridiculous amount of baby products. I read all the mother & baby magazines, researched every product from pushchairs to nappies and by the time I was ready to pop, I had spent a small fortune. When it came to bathing my baby, there was only really ever one product in my mind....Johnsons.
I wanted a product that was incredibly mild and gentle and would wash my baby without irritating her skin or stinging her little eyes. Johnsons have always marketed their 'no tears' formula and I had trust in this established, quality brand.
I picked up the Johnson's Baby Top to Toe Wash from Tesco's during my weekly shop. A large 500ml bottle cost £2.32 which I think is good value for money but it is still quite a lot more than the supermarket own brands offerings. The wash came in an upright plastic bottle and was fitted with a pump to dispense the liquid. I liked this feature as it means you can access the wash with one hand which is a real bonus when you have the baby taking up one hand.
I used this product on my newborn baby from the point we were hone from the hospital and I have continued to use it on both my girls. I add it to a wet sponge and then give them a good wash. The wash doesn't really lather up very much and it certainly doesn't produce bubbles in the bath, but it is great for getting them clean without causing any irritation.
You can also use the wash to wsh your little one's hair, I did use it as a shampoo when my baby was very young, but as she got older and her hair thickened up I had to use a proper shampoo to really clean her hair adequately.
I will continue to use this product and can strongly recommend it, I am happy that I have something that is gentle and mild yet does the job fantastically.
Summary: You can trust this on their delicate skin
