Advantages: Smells gorgeous, relaxing bath, its Johnson's
Disadvantages: None
I have been sawing and chopping wood for our log burner again today and my back was aching when I finished so I decided to take a soak in the bath. I chose not to use more of my Lush Bubble Bar as I didn't want it all to be gone too quickly so I went for Johnson's Baby Bath!
Specifically this product is Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath which currently costs just under £2 for 300ml or about £3.50 for 500ml.
We have all heard of Johnson's and their specialist baby products including soap, talc, shampoo, baby bath and many more and I'm guessing that I'm not the only one without a baby to have their products in the bathroom cabinet! I have used their baby talc for years now as more perfumed varieties tend to irritate me. This may well be the reason that someone put a bottle of Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath in my Christmas stocking last year!
This is actually part of a new(ish) range that Johnson's launched a couple of years ago and it consists of the Bedtime Bath, Moisture Wash, Massage Gel and Bedtime Lotion. When used separately or together these products are designed to help to calm your baby and promote better sleep and I can vouch for the fact that the Bedtime Bath is great for adults too!
This lovely stuff comes in a plastic, flattish, oval bottle in pale pink with a purple flip top. The familiar Johnson's logo is on the front together with the name of the product. The other information on the front of the bottle is telling us what makes this baby bath different from the standard Johnson's Baby Bath and that is the fact that it contains lavender and camomile.
It is well known that lavender has relaxing properties and camomile has healing properties so this is going to be good .....................
I turned on the hot water tap and poured a generous amount of the bubble bath into the running water. Immediately the lovely fragrance of lavender filled the bathroom. Now I do love the smell of lavender so this is great for me!
The bath filled up with lots of lovely bubbles and I settled in for a soak. The water felt nice and soft, although to be fair that isn't anything unusual as we live on the edge of Snowdonia so we do have very soft water.
I relaxed in the fragrant, warm water and let my aches and pains subside a little. Both the smell and the bubbles remained all the while the water was in the bath.
As with all Johnson's products this is non-irritant so it is safe and gentle for the baby, which after all is who it is meant for!
Obviously I can't vouch for the fact that it will help your baby sleep although I can't see why it shouldn't, as Johnson's products are famously impressive. What I can say though is that I loved the smell and the quality of this bubble bath and I really enjoyed my soak!
Summary: A lovely relaxing soak!
