I always use Johnson's products in my baby's bath - it's a brand I trust and one used by my mother before me. I was given a bottle of their bedtime bath in a baby hamper that some friends had kindly put together for me and was interested to read it's claims that it helps your baby to sleep for longer at night. As any new mum will probably agree, anything that can give you a little more sleep is worth it's weight in gold!

The bedtime bath can be used either as a wash and applied directly to baby's skin or added to the water whilst running the bath to give a foam bath. I have used this mainly for the latter and have found that a little of the liquid goes a long way, with lots of frothy white bubbles being produced. The liquid is easy to pour as the bottle has a fliptop with a small hole through which to pour the product - ensuring that you are easily able to control the flow and not waste any product. As you run the bath, the scent of the baby bath fills the room - this is a very pleasant, relaxing smell. Johnson's describe this as 'natural calm essences' - a special blend of soothing aromas. I can't pick out any specific scents, certainly none that are overpoweringly strong, but it is a warming lavendar like scent.

As with all Johnson's products, this is made with the 'no more tears' formula so, as well as being gentle on baby's skin, it will not irritate their eyes. My baby certainly enjoys bathing in bedtime bath - it leaves him clean and smelling fresh whilst not drying or irritating his skin. The aroma seems to make bathtime a relaxing experience (for both of us!) but I am nit sure whether it contributes to a better nights sleep! Johnson's recommenc that this is used in conjunction with their bedtime baby lotion for best results, so I may purchase a bottle of this!!

I have recently purchased a 300ml bottle for £1 on offer at Tesco - this is around half price so good value as I believe that, at full price, Johnson's products are quite expensive. I do recommend this product - but don't expect miracles!!
