Advantages: A wonderful scent and relaxing properties

Disadvantages: None

When I run my daughter a bath using Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath I want to jump in myself.

What hits you first when using this baby bubble bath is the smell. It is delightful. The bubble bath has lavender and camomile extracts designed to relax your baby and it is the lavender which causes it to have such an appealing scent.

The packaging of the bubble bath is very pretty, coming in a light purple to signify the lavender but also conjuring up images of peaceful bedtimes - just what you are after as a mum. And the lavender certainly has an effect.

When my daughter was just a few months old the lavender would make her sleepy after bathtime to the point that during her story she actually fell asleep. Nowadays she is a bit too active to fall asleep ahead of bedtime but you can still tell which nights she had been bathed in Johnson's Bedtime Bath as it seems to enable her to wind down quicker, allowing for a calmer bedtime routine.

This bubble bath produces far more foam than the milder Johnson's bubble baths so it is possible to use a smaller amount in the bath tub - just a small squeeze - making it go further. A bottle can last a month or two.

Some Johnson's products have caused a reaction in my daughter but this bubble bath has not caused any rash or irritation. I would advise against using too much, as I think it is when the water is too soapy that reactions can occur.

You can add the bubble bath to water as I do or squeeze some onto a sponge and wash you baby that way so it is extremely versatile. It is also OK to use the bath water to wash your baby's hair as it is sufficiently mild that it will not irritate sensitive eyes.

This bubble bath is certainly worth buying for peaceful bedtimes and at the very least, a wonderful smelling baby.

Summary: A great bubble bath to help baby and mother unwind after an action-packed day
