@ About, Value for money @
These cotton buds are usually between £1 and £1.50. i paid £1.45 for 200 buds from Tesco. the buds have quite a large amount of cotton on them, and they are not too thick or thin. You wont be feeling the point from the plastic edge in your ear because it is cushioned. They have compacted the cotton down so when you rub it against your skin bits wont break off, but it wont feel soft either. It will feel like a smooth but firm object. Imagine drawing with a crayon inside your ear. Its a weird way to describe it but its like that, firm but smooth and it wont hurt.
These buds are designed for removing makeup or cleaning in between toes, or what i use them for, cleaning the outer ear. Now it does say on the back of the tub not to use them to clean the inner ear or nose. But i can tell you now it is very easy to slip or accidentally end up in your ear or nose because the tip is quite thin and easily fits into the inner ear or nose. When cleaning my outer ear it is too easy to accidentally push too far in and have the bud end up right inside my ear.
@ Cotton quality, cleaning ability @
The plastic on the buds is easily bendable and is flexible when you apply pressure but they wont snap easily. You have to put some effort in to break the plastic away - or you can twist it constantly. It will take a fair amount of time to break them by doing this because they are tough little things.
The cotton is very smooth but compacted so it wont break away easily. When you pull the cotton out you can get a decent sized ball in your hands.the glue they use to stick them on is very sturdy and in my experience, has never disappointed when it comes to durability, all the buds have stayed on no matter how tough you get with the buds.
The buds have an excellent ability to pick up dirt. The tiny cotton fibres will trap dirt in them so when you rub the cotton bud against a clean surface it wont dispel the dirt back. They also have a very good ability to clean other things not just your body. I use these for cleaning inside small crevasses of dust and dirt and they work fine with these too - they will still collect a good amount of dirt, and wont dispel it elsewhere.
@ Overall @
These buds are a bargain and have a great ability to clean. Not to mention value for money at £1.50 or less per tub, and the many number of uses these things have- I'm sure there are plenty of uses yet unfound for them. I would recommend these, they are an excellent product.
Summary: Superb wuality cotton buds with multiple uses around the home
