Wonder nappy creams! (Johnson's Nappy Cream)

Advantages: Clears up nappy rash fast Disadvantages: none
My second daughter had the most sensitive skin on her bottom, even using gentle wipes would cause horrendous nappy rash for the first 5 months. We only used cotton wool and water to cleanse her, but despite this, and avoiding nappies with lotion in, she still got rashes very frequently. I found there were two creams that worked for us. Johnsons nappy cream was great for early stage rashes, if caught early, the rash would go away within 24 hours. I would definitely recommend having a tube of this cream in your changing bag as it really does nip it in the bud. For more serious nappy rash, especially if the skin has got so raw that it's bleeding, the only thing that worked was Metanium. You only use a little, but unlike other creams it actually stays on the sorest areas (some creams slide off) and is therefore able to do it's job, as well as offering some protection. This product NEVER failed to clear up nappy rash. It can take a day or two to work, but persevere. Very good value for money, I'm still using the tube I bought for my first child 2 years ago, and still have some left despite my second being 8 months old. Summary: |
