Even though my daughter is no longer a baby I still choose to buy Johnson''s Baby Soap for use by our whole family. It reminds me so much of when she was very small and the smell also brings back many happy memories of when I was a young mum (I know it''s only seven years ago but I seems like ages). O buy these soaps from Tesco is packs of four and they cost about one pound fifty pence so it works out excellent value for money. The soaps themselves are individually wrapped they each weigh one hundred grams and they are white in colour when removed from the packaging. The thing I really love about these soaps is that I can use them on my face as well as on my body. They are really mild and gentle and cause no irritation, even on the most sensitive of skins. They lather up remarkably well and they are the ideal shape and size to hold so that it doesn''t slip out of your hand when it is wet. My whole family used Johnsons baby soap and I am guessing that we probably always will. It''s a soap which has been around for many years and it''s kind of traditional in it''s own way. The smell is sweet and fragrant and definitely brings back memories of baby bath times in our house. A soap which I totally recommend.
Now that my little boy is two and gets a bit more dirty when running around playing I thought I would start by getting him to clean his hands during the day rather then just using baby wipes.
I wanted a soap that would be kind to his skin and I found Johnson's soap. As it was this particular brand I had no hesitation in buying it as all of their products are designed to be kind to delicate skin.
It came in a 4 pack of soap and was pleased to see that each bar came individually wrapped, this helped keep the bar fresh and clean.
The actual soap itself is very smooth and white, as soon as its taken out of the packet you get the lovely mild smell of baby powder! The soap when wet bubbles up really well and glides easily across the skin although it can get a little slippery for tiny hands such as my toddlers, but he finds it funny with it keep popping out of his hands.
It seems to keep my boys hands lovely and soft and it doesn't dry them out at all like I think most soaps would do, in fact it feels as though it moisturises them. I also use this soap occasinaly and I aso love how it makes your skin feel after use.
I would recommend this soap even though for 4 bars it can be a bit pricey at almost £3!
Johnson's Soap Bar is one of those traditional products which have been around for just about forever(!) and it's something that I've always had in my house and used on myself and my children. You can buy a pack of 4 Johnson's Baby Soap with honey bars from Tesco for the very reasonable price of £1.40 - which equates to 35p each. The soap is nice to use in combination with Johnson's Baby Oil and Johnson's Baby Shampoo as they all tend to compliment each other well.
Each soap bar is wrapped individually and so it is kept clean, dry, fresh and protected until it's going to be used. Each bar is a good size weighing 100g each and measuring an estimated 12cm x 6cm and so it is a nice size to hold in your hand and will fit into any standard soap dish. When the wrapper is removed, It reveals that that the soap bar is a lovely clean and fresh looking pure white colour which has a look of creaminess and luxury which you don't seem to get with many everyday soaps anymore. It may sound a bit silly to say that the smell of the dry soap is.....well, soapy....and there isn't much that makes it that distinctive - but once the soap is wet and lathered up, that's when the true aroma is released. To use the soap it's a matter of wetting it well and then lathering it between your hands. The soap produces a lovely bubbly lather which is rich and creamy - and feels lovely and silky during application. It smells gorgeous....that lovely sweet unique Johnson's Baby smell.....and it just feels really comforting. It rinses well off of my skin after washing and leaves my skin feeling clean and well hydrated. I hate soaps that leave my skin feeling dry and this certainly doesn't do that. I also have sensitive skin and I have never reacted to this soap, just as I have never reacted to any of the gentle Johnson's Baby range.
Overall, I think this is a great product and it's something which I will continue to use no doubt for many years to come. Recommended.
I very rarely use soap, however before my daughter was born I was given several bars of Johnson's baby soap. They some in packs of 4 which cost £1.69 or a single bar which costs around 65p. The soap is available in Boots and Asda.
Johnson's baby soap contains extracts of honey and baby lotion.
Each bar of soap in the multipack is individually wrapped in a pink paper wrapper. The bar of soap is white in colour.
I used the soap on a sponge and lathered up before washing my daughter. The soap smells of baby lotion and slightly of honey. It works up a good lather and rinses cleanly off the skin. After use my daughters skin felt soft and smooth and had a nice smell.
I have also used the soap for my hands, it glides nicely over the skin and gently cleanses removing dirt and leaving your hands soft and smooth.
My only complaint about this soap is that like all bars of soap it tends to go soggy on the bottom even if it is in a soap dish. Or it dries really hard and splits after a while. So for this reason I wouldn't choose to buy it again. I love Johnson's products but I much prefer to use the gels and bubble baths.
My little grandson is 22 months now and he is potty trained, apart from the odd accident like all children have, he uses the toilet with a toilet training seat, as well as his potty, and he likes to wash his hands each time he has been to the toilet, and I thought I would buy him these soap bars as I know they are nice for baby and young children's delicate skin and I know how much it is a reliable brand as I have used it many times.
It comes in a wrapper to keep the soap bar clean, it is a good size bar, and the colour is white, the soap smells so lovely when the wrapper is removed, the texture of the bar is smooth and soft, it lathers so well with nice tiny bubbles, the fragrance is so beautiful, it makes me think of my little grandson or a new born baby when I use it when my grandson is not at my home, I bought it especially for him for when he visits as he is always washing his hands by himself now at the basin in the bathroom and I wanted a soap that would be suitable for him.
I have a liquid soap for myself but I do use this one too in the bathroom and I find the texture a smooth one for my skin, it does not irritate any of our skins, it leaves it feeling so smooth and soft, and smelling of a nice fresh fragrance, this soap it such a good quality it is an amazing bar of soap, it comes in single bars or in a multi pack, I bought the multi pack, it was priced at around £1.45 for 4 - 100g bars, these bars have baby lotion included in the ingredients and also honey to make the skin nicely moisturised for the delicate skins, a bar lasts a very long time, I really like to use this rubbed onto a sponge and to use it in the shower as I just love the fragrance, it is a beautiful soap and I think it is fabulous for all the family and affordable too.
I had forgotten how good a quality it is as I have not bought it in years, I am pleased my grandson uses a lot of this because when I am in the bathroom with him while he is washing his hands, the bathroom has a nice fragrance in the air, which I love to smell, I think this is excellent value for money, I know it has always been an excellent one for babies over the years, and I think the price is still a good one as I always thought it was many years ago when I bought it for my own, now grown up children.
This soap is one of my favourites, I love the way it glides softly across the skin and the softness of my skin after use, and I recommend it for anyone to try it, even if they do not have any small children or babies in the family as I think it is worth it, I also use soap for cleaning things around my home such as light cords and use it on a damp cloth, I also use soap to clean my grandsons and my own cuddly toys, and they smell gorgeous.
I give this one 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review.
Johnson's soap bar made by the number one baby product specialist. That is how I rate Johnsons anyway.
Why would you want to use a baby soap bar if your baby is no longer a baby? Well I like to have hands as soft a babies bottom I'm not sure I'd use the same comment for my face but you get the idea lol.
You may have seen an advert for Johnson's baby shampoo and the adult uses it well the same applies to the soap in my case.
This soap can be purchased in four packs or individually. Most major and smaller supermarkets will stock one type of them.
Single bars are around about the 50p mark and four pack is £1.45-£1.65.
The wrappers are a light pink colour and show a pink tear drop shape on them, With Johnsons blue writing on them they are easy to spot in store.
This soap contains Johnsons baby lotion in it which is why it really does leave your skin soft and of course for babies it can't contain anything too strong.
The actual bar is white in colour and has a smell of the baby lotion to it. Even though my son is no longer a baby we both still use this soap. I like the smell it has and leaves on the skin and it leaves a softness to the skin too from the lotion that gives you moisturising.
This would be good for people that suffer from sensitive skin to use too.
The bar is smaller then your average bar of soap making it easier to hold onto when bathing a baby.
Gently cleanses without drying. Mild enough for the most delicate skins.
