Advantages: Excellent for getting rid of dry skin

Disadvantages: None that I can think of

I first came across Johnson's Soothing Naturals Intensive Moisture Cream purely by accident. I joined the Tesco Baby & Toddler club and among their bonus point vouchers was one that gave points when buying any two Johnson's Soothing Naturals products. At that time, this cream was half price and it worked out that I could buy two creams and get more back in Tesco Deals than the creams cost in the first place. I would have been a fool not to buy.

Reading the label on the tube it promises to relieve baby's dry skin, even dry patches from the first use. I suffer from really dry, flaky skin, particularly on my forehead and around my nose and I have tried countless creams and moisturisers without success so I decided that I would give it a try. I was amazed to discover that it does actually work. I could almost see the difference from the first use and my skin felt really soft and supple. After using it for a while, the dry patches on my face have entirely cleared up and the skin feels soft and smooth.

The cream has a pleasant fragrance that isn't at all overpowering. It is absorbed really easily into the skin without being at all greasy. It comes in a pale olive tube that is small enough to carry around in a handbag or baby bag (I do occasionally use it on my baby son!).

I recommended the cream to my teenage son who also suffers from dry skin and it has helped to improve his skin too. Plus the tube doesn't look at all girly, so he's not too embarrassed to be seen using it.

The price of the tube is currently around £1.95, although Tesco and Boots occasionally offer it either half price or 2 for £2, which works out as practically the same thing. I try to stock up at these times which explains why I currently have 5 tubes on the bathroom shelf.

It says on the pack that it is suitable for face and body. I presume this means for babies, as the tube is only 100ml and wouldn't last long if I started using it all over my body. I do know people who swear by it as a hand cream though.

The pack also states that it contains Olive leaf extract and Vitamin E which I presume are good for your skin although I don't know how!

If you have dry, sensitive skin this could be a product for you!

Summary: A great product for Mum and baby
