Advantages: Cheap, simple and effective

Disadvantages: Not good for larger areas

Moisturisers are a very competative market and the Johnston & Johnston company are of course one of the market leaders in this market sector.

Therefore when my son began getting dry skin this prodcut was a natural first choice.

The volume iself is sufficient - 250mls - you therefore don't feel that you are not being outdone by a large price with minimal volume. In saying that, if you, or your child, does have excessively dry skin then this volume of emollient would not suffice if you were using it for the purpuse of whole body dry skin in large volumes multiple times every day.

OK - the key elements of a good moisuriser for us was firstly that we could apply it quicly without it being a complete mess - my boy crawls everywhere! This moisturiser certainly managed this. It was quickly absorbed and didn't leave his skin so stickly that getting his clothes on afterwards as a probem.

Despite the long ingredients list none of the ingredients provoded a worsening skin reaction - so commonly this is the case with perfumed bathroom products.

OK so did it actually work - well in a short way no. From some perspectives there was a slight improvement. However, for the actual amount of dry skin we required to cover and to be of benefit I feel we would have needed much more of it.

Although it is not expensive, and as such for small areas of dry skin it would be ideal. If there is a whole body problem, a large bottle of simple emollient was our 2nd choice and worked much better.

Summary: A product intended for small areas which does work.
