Advantages: Works and is very moisturising; Absorbs quick

Disadvantages: Doesn't smell as nice as other Johnsons products; Very greasy feeling after you've rubbed it in

I got a proper weird patch of dry skin on my arm a few months ago, just a little rectangle of very dry skin even though there was no change to the rest of the skin on my body. I went to the docs because a few people in my family have had skin cancer and I've got a mole right in the middle of the dry patch but after she looked at it carefully she said it was just a rogue patch of eczema that was probably a throw back from the eczema I had when I was a baby.

She gave me some awful smelling cream that was so thick and oily that it made me feel sick when I was rubbing it in so I went to Boots to see what they had for dry skin. I came out with a tube of Johnsons Soothing Naturals cream for very dry skin because even the pharmacist said they sold loads of it and she's heard that it's a very intensive moisturiser.

After using it for over a month I know it works brill because the dry skin has completely gone now and it went about a week after I started rubbing this into it every day. As soon as you put the first lot on it starts soothing the area where you've got the irritation and it stopped mine being itchy as well because it was getting to the point where I was scratching my arm so much that I was making it bleed and crack a bit.

I'm not mad keen on the feel of it or the smell. The smell because it smells a bit like plastic and has a weird oily smell to it as well but on the tube it said there is olive leaf in it so I reckon that could be the oily smell. It absorbs good but leaves a greasy feeling on my skin that I can feel when my clothes rub against it, it's not too bad only putting it on a little bit of skin like me but if you put it over your whole body then I reckon you'd feel like you'd had a bath in butter because it's a proper heavy cream.

I don't know quite what rating to give this because it worked wicked for me but the feel of it means that if you've got dry skin all over your body then there are much nicer feeling body creams. From a personal point of view it's brill so I'll give it 4 stars but just remember it is greasy feeling and that lasts for ages so if you want something drier then it might not be right for you.

Summary: A Wicked Product For Small Patches Of Dry Skin But Too Greasy Feeling For Big Areas Of Skin
