Advantages: More uses
Disadvantages: They dry up if not kept totally airtight
OK I know this sounds strange but have you realised how many other ways these wipes can be used. Well obviously for the two ends of a baby that leak things, good on the skin and leave a nice scent. They are also very handy in the car, my children are 6 & 8 but on a journey these come up trumps wiping the mess that my little darlings make when scoffing lollies and the like. I have it on good authority that they can also remove make up, but I have no experiance of that. The other night I cam home and I was pleased to see that one of the local Vandals (Bless Them!!) had thoughtfully sprayed the side of my car with aerosol paint. After some growling as you can imagine, a friend suggested trying to get the paint off with the baby wipes. To be honest although the paint could not have been on the car for more than an hour it was dry to the touch and I really thought it a hopeless cause. OK It took about 45 minutes of scrubbing with the best part of a pack of wipes but they did work, all the spray paint was removed and there was not a mark left on the cars paintwork. I have since used them for other things around the home, they do help in all sorts of ways, so just because your children are out of nappies is no reason not to have a pack of these with you.

- 05/07/01 Great Op - my thoughts exactly - these things are absolutely wonderful! One word of warning - don't, as I did, be tempted to use them to clean your windscreen when your water has run out!!! BIG MISTAKE! |
