Anyone reading this review who knows me will wonder why on earth I am writing about baby wipes when I don't have a baby. It may seem a bit strange but bear with me as by the end of the review you will understand how Johnson's baby wipes have become my secret ingredient in my lifestyle and if I could take just one cosmetic product on holiday with me it would be these!

The only Johnson's wipes that I used to buy regularly were the 3 in 1 cleansing wipes and, although I still believe that these are a great product, since discovering the baby wipes about 3 weeks ago they have become my new staple.

I was recommended the wipes by a friend of my mums and must admit that I laughed when she told me that her daughter swore by baby wipes as a daily part of her beauty regime. To me, these wipes had always been for wiping babies bums, not for cleansing your face and so I dismissed the idea. By chance, a few weeks later I saw the wipes on offer in Boots. They were buy one get one free and cost just £2.44 for 2 packs of 64 and I suddenly realised that if by some chance I could use them instead of my usual quite pricey cleansing wipes I could save myself a fortune.

So I bought some, telling myself that if I didn't like them they could go to my friends baby and so wouldn't be wasted. I got some Boots points for them anyway so wasn't worried that I'd be wasting money if they weren't right for me.

From the moment I tried the wipes I loved them! They felt lovely and soft on my skin and had enough cleansing product on them for me to wipe my whole face and neck and feel that they were getting all the dirt off. They removed my makeup perfectly and this was confirmed when I used my toner afterwards and the bit of cotton wool I used was completely clean after wiping my face over.

They didn't sting or irritate my face at all, they left it feeling a bit tingly but I find that this happens with all wipes. They even removed my eye makeup which is unusual and the next morning when I woke up expecting to have panda eyes from all the makeup that hadn't come off properly, I was pleasantly surprised that my eyes, and pillow, were completely clean.

I have extremely sensitive skin however, so the real test was whether my skin would breakout after a few days of using them. Luckily it was fine and if anything the opposite happened and my skin actually improved in condition!

The only thing that I felt necessary with these wipes compared to others was to wash my face with plain water or simple soap afterwards as the wipes have some sort of coating on them which is left on your skin, making you smell like a baby which wasn't really my aim! The smell is quite strong but you can buy fragrance free wipes so I think I will do that next time.

The wipes are also great to take in your bag with you when you go out as you never know when you might need to use them, perhaps after eating or if you spill something. 128 wipes for £2.44 are a real bargain and as I only use one a day will last me ages! Before finding these I was spending quite a bit of money on wipes every few weeks but it looks like I've found the solution!
