Advantages: Excellent quality, lovely smell
Disadvantages: Are a little bit thin
Since my daughter was born over three years ago now, the main brand of wipes we have used is Johnson's. Once in a whilst we do switch to other brands but at the end of the day we always find ourselves going back to Johnson's. I have come to find it a brand that I can trust 100% without having to worry about bad quality or wasting money.
Johnsons baby wipes come packaged in a simple yet cute looking pink packet. On which is a picture of a baby and a description of the product itself. The packaging really makes a statement with these wipes and I have found the Johnson's wipes to look a lot more appealing on the shelf compared to most other brands.
There are 80 wipes in a packet, this is average compared with other brands. The wipes are sealed by a sticky pull tab, this is somewhat secure and does stick back into place for a rather long time but after a while the stick does loose its effectiveness, this can cause the wipes at the top to become really dry. This is one of my biggest pet hates when it comes to wipes but we generally go through a packet quick enough that it doesn't become too much of problem.
Johnson's wipes are suitable from birth and are designed for sensitivity so there are no concerns with using them on sensitive skin. We have used them since birth for several different things, cleaning messy bottoms, sticky faces and dirty hands and I have found that they have never cause any irritation problems. As my daughter does have eczema I have found it to be a main benefit that they do not irritate her skin.
The wipes themselves are white in colour and are around the size of an A5 piece of paper. They have a distinctive smell which is such a soft and pure smell that lingers on the skin after they have been used. It's not an overpowering scent, it's very subtle but you are just able to make it out.
I have found the wipes to be very durable, they easily clean my daughters sticky hands or face, they are very moist as well but this benefits the ability to clean. They are not that moist that they cause nappy rash or anything like that, they have the right balance. I have found them to be slightly thin but because the quality is better than most I don't feel the need to double or triple up on every use.
As I mentioned at the beginning, I keep on coming back to these wipes, I think they are definitely one of the best brands of wipes available and they are so versatile in what they can do. I have found that they clean every area perfectly and leave a lovely smell as well. I would definitely recommend them and at around £1.50 a packet they are not overly expensive either. They are available to buy from most shops and the larger supermarkets always tend to have them available.
Summary: The best wipes
