Advantages: large packet, large individual wipes, moist, smell lovely, often on offer for £1
Disadvantages: none for me!
Why did I buy these baby wipes?
I don't actually have any children but I do often find myself wandering down this section of boots or superdrug for products for myself! I love the Johnson range, its great value for money, kind to skin and you know nothings going to be loaded with unnecessary chemicals etc as it is a brand associated with babys and young children. I do wear quite a bit of makeup and dont want to waste my good cleansers taking it off so what I do is use a wipe to remove most of my makeup and the cleanser for the remainder, simply because I have been told by a beautician that face wipes dont remove all your makeup and it is left in your pores so using a cleanser specifically designed to remove makeup is much wiser
price?
Usually Johnsons are quite inexpensive however I only buy these wipes when they're on offer ( mainly because there is much cheaper alternatives out there) but I would prefer to have the best. Any time I have picked up the wipes they have only cost me a £1 which is excellent value considering it it just a large packet and lasts me such a long time!
The packet
As I mentioned the packet is quite big and contains alot of wipes which is why I prefer it to small expensive packets of wipe designed specifically for removing makeup. The packet is pink and has a 'flap' you peel back to remove a wipe and it sticks back in place when you are done. I have found one's which have a more secure lid type feauture which actually clicks back in place which is beter as its more air tight and keeps the wipes moister for longer. ( having said this I never had a problem with dried up wipes so the sticky lid is no less effective)
The wipes
The wipes are quite large, soft and very moist which I love and I dont have to scrub my face and use an unnecessary number of wipes to remove the most of my makeup. I did say I wear quite alot of makeup but I rarely have to reach for a second wipe when I'm using Johnsons. I even find I can remove eye makeup and waterproof mascara with ease which is so convenient as I'm not a fan of having the liquid cleanser and bits of cotton wool in my eyes! They don't irritate my skin or sting my eyes!
The wipes smell beautiful, very fresh and since they are so moist they leave my face a little wet so I feel I have a clean face after I use them (great for not making myself feel guilty after those late nights when you just cant bring your self to properly remove makeup and moisturise) I do aways moisturise afterwards however the wipes don't particulary dry out my skin, it feels soft after using them which I love!
I would definately recommend Johnstons baby wipes as an alternative to makeup remover wipes, you'll never look back!
Summary: A great alternative to expensive makeup remover wipes!
