Advantages: Soothing, clears up a rash in no time

Disadvantages: Bright yellow, hard to find sometimes

I've just been reading other people's reviews on this and I didn't know it could be used for sore nipples! I must remember this when my next baby is born as I always have some Kamillosan in my baby cupboard!!

I bought this when Sudocrem (which is what I thought you HAD to use at all times on your baby's bottom due to advertising and the free samples in bounty packs) caused my daughter's bottom to go haywire - it made any slight rash ten times worse, and the screaming fits...well.... And so I still have a bumper tub of Sudocrem in my cupboard and nowhere for it to go.

Anyway, back to the Kamillosan, it really works on nappy rash! I think it must have some sort of soothing ingredients in it because it always calmed my daughter down when she had a nasty rash, and I'm not kidding when I say it cleared up the worst rashes within a couple of days. I am really really pleased I found this product as I don't know what I would have done without it. It's bright yellow though and does tend to stain her nappies!

I have only ever seen it on sale in Asda though which is a bit of a pain because Asda is a place which I hate with a passion. So I had a panic attack a while ago when I ran out and NONE of the chemists near me had even heard of it - crazy! And Asda is not within walking distance, so I had to wait until my husband returned from work before I could replenish my supplies.

But anyway, I would fully recommend this as a nappy rash cream, especially for those extra sensitive bottoms.

Summary: Good for those sensitive botts, and maybe nipples too?!

Sudocrem works great on spots and scrapes, so you might yet find a use for it, lol

We're all fine with sudocrem so never tried anything different. Helpful review though. :o)

My daughter had the same reaction with Sudocrem which is how I ended up using Kamillosan for nappy rash - I couldn't agree more re the brilliant affect it has on sore bums.
