Great for nipples but can be used for nappy rash (Kamillosan Chamomile Ointment)

I always knew that I was going to breastfeed my baby, but I didn't know how painful it was going to be.

For the first few days I was fine but after that I started to get really sore during each feed, especially the night feeds when I was absolutely packed full of milk, as my baby slept for a good 5 hours.

I would put him to my breast and grit my teeth at the beginning of each feed, it was pure agony. I mentioned this to my community midwife and she got me Kamillosan on prescription, so I didn't have to pay a penny for it. I had looked around town for nipple creams but couldn't find any anywhere.

I used this cream straight away after each feed, rubbing a small bit into each nipple, and it worked abosolute miracles. It doesn't have to be washed off before the next feed either my baby didn't seem to mind it.

I only used this for 2 weeks then I didn't suffer anymore with sore nipples.

It can also be used for nappy rash, though I have been lucky enough not to have a baby suffering from this. You simply rub a bit into the sore area at every change.

It is the only nipple cream I have tried, but I am very pleased with how well it works, so I would recommend this to any mothers who are, or who are going to, breastfeed. I don't feel any need for me to ever try any others.
