If breastfeeding hurts, then Kamillosan is not going to help. There are *no* clinical studies to say it does. Breastfeeding shouldn't hurt and if it does, then you may need expert help from a trained breastfeeding expert - probably not your midwife or health visitor unless they have a particular interest in this (their training does not cover breastfeeding in depth). The main breastfeeding charities are: The ABM, the BfN, LLL and NCT. Take your pick - they all have helplines and websites. Search Google for more info.
Creams, potions and lotions are merely another way to make you part with your hard-earned cash. Much better to keep the money in your pocket (or spend it on chocolate) and call one of the breastfeeding charities. Support and information is offered for free. Now that's what I call a good deal!

sorry for the low rating. Unfortunately your review was not about the product! Kim:-)

criple made some very valid points there.

I breast fed my three children for 14 months each and found kamillosan very useful. Even with an excellent technique and a gentle baby, soreness can occur, particularly if soggy nipples rub against underwear or breast pads. Cracks can occur in even the most expert of breastfeeding mums! The cream can really soothe and heal.

I'm really sorry to give you NU as I know you are trying to help. As the title of this category is Chamillosan ointment then that is what the review should have been about, good or bad.

You should really have this posted in the breatsfeeding in general (advice on breastfeeding) and give some constructive advice on help and information.

If you update your op then let me know and I will gladly re-rate. If you're not sure how to get the op moved then I can help with this as well, Steph
